Movie Mini-Review Thread

Pacific Rim: 7.5/10

As mentioned by others, go in expecting to see exactly what is offered. Giant robots vs giant 'aliens'.
There are times where it feels like scenes were thrown in just to 'tick boxes', but otherwise an enjoyable, good 3D movie.

Wolverine: 7.5/10

I wanted to give it an eight, but that would be just because I'm comparing it to the step up it has made from its predecessors. It is a really good movie though, with a good balance of story telling and action. As with most Marvel movies, stay tuned during the credits.

B&W isn`t really my thing,nor is the foreign french audio....story didn`t make much sense either
but it did have a certain feel to it,similar to otelo burning that I did enjoy...

Evil Dead 10/10 - Spot on at retaining Sam Raimi's cult classic. The creep factor intensifies as the movie progresses. I wasn't expecting it to be but it was eally good.

The Hangover 3 1/10 - What a load of tripe! 5 minutes into the . . . no make that 3 minutes into the movie I switched it off.
Zach Galifianakis isn't really funny as irri-fucking-tating!

Oh my word guys, please, do yourself favour and go watch Now You See Me. It is Brilliant!!! Excellent story, captivating, excellent acting, and just really a brilliant movie with all the twists! I was enthralled the whole movie through!

Defcon 20's documentary sure is boring, I think it was filmed wrong - it did not really justify the events that took place. The activities at Vegas was brilliant! The people there was magnificent! I enjoyed Will Smith pitching up there for about an hour and also other celebrities speaking, such as Apollo Robbins.

Truly Inspirational. I wasn't that big of a fan before but i'm definitely a Katy Cat now, feel so much closer to her. Baby I'm a firework!!! Boom Boom Boom.

Yep, I watched it abroad some time ago. It was a brilliant movie and I also enjoyed it a lot!

The original is/was miles ahead. Thought I was watching a comedy while this played. Original was better.

Scary Movie 5 - 1/10

The biggest piece of crap I've seen in years. The main spoof is basically Paranormal Activity with some really childish humour. It's just terrible.

The only really funny part in the whole film was the "lesbian" scene and I'm sure you can find that one YouTube. Do not waste your money and time.

Interesting how wildly people`s scores differ, especially compared to rotten tomato or IMDb scores. Something that is pretty average from a critically objective pov, can be amazing to someone else.
And when someone thinks something is overrated they feel the need to balance it all out by hating what they should otherwise only think is average.

anyway...

the croods: (the incredibles/10) pretty funny, some nice gags, nice imaginative creatures. I don`t regret watching it.
