Movies I have recently watched:

Despicable Me 2
The Minions made this movie for me! A scarcity, a sequel that surpasses the original!

G.I. Joe: Retaliation
Yawned the whole way through. I am a sucker for actions movies too. Did it have a story line?

Olympus Has Fallen
Much better than I thought. Bulter makes the movie. Action junky fix.
4/10

Jack the Giant Slayer
Animation is poor. Acting was actually fairly good. Story was a bit boring and struggled to get that fantasy movie depth and meaning. At the end a fun pop-corn watch for you and your better half.

The Host
I must have felt sick. In the head. It is just complete rubbish at its best.

Oz the Great and Powerful
The colours in HD are killer. This was a decent effort I would say and good Sunday night watcher on the couch!

As mentioned by others, go in expecting to see exactly what is offered. Giant robots vs giant 'aliens'.
There are times where it feels like scenes were thrown in just to 'tick boxes', but otherwise an enjoyable, good 3D movie.

Wolverine: 7.5/10

I wanted to give it an eight, but that would be just because I'm comparing it to the step up it has made from its predecessors. It is a really good movie though, with a good balance of story telling and action. As with most Marvel movies, stay tuned during the credits.

A mate of mine went to Monte Casino, watched Pacific Rim at the 8pm show and then headed into Wolverine at the 10ish show. He gave Pacific Rim a solid 8 and Wolverine a 7.

I got so bored by this movie. About half an hour in my wife and I looked at each other and shook our heads and switched it off.

Mud: 8/10. Modern variation on Huckleberry Finn, with authentic children's performances and surprisingly strong turns from Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Mconnaughey(sp?).

So good that if they show her jumping up and down I will watch the whole thing on mute.

+1. Felt the Ending was extremely disappointing after a great build up.
 
The Great Gatsby - 6/10

I think the movie was quite good. I must I admit that I did not look forward to seeing it, but when I started watching, it grabbed my attention and keep me nailed. It has a good story, acting pissed me off a bit, but overall not a bad movie.

Pain and Gain - 5/10

Not too bad, made me laugh a couple of times at these bodybuilders' stupidities. Quite unbelievable that this happened in real life, but worth a watch though!
 
When I read the unbelievable article on which Pain and Gain is based I thought it would make a great movie.
Still need to watch it to see if they did justice.

The movie showed her just the way I imagined her to be, really cool girl. Not big on her music though.

Impossible about the bad review on Now You See Me :D

Pain & Gain - 5.5 - 6/10 Some dumb bodybuilders go on a crime spree. Just again confirming my belief all brawn and no brain. A true story - can't imagine people being so stupid lol!!! But it was entertaining, funny at moments. Will not pay to go see this movie though.

I think it is worth the watch, however, agree with Nicci that it is not worth a trip to the cine. If you have access to Mweb's uncapped ADSL you may want to grab a 300MB copy of this movie, just to ensure they don't throttle you for grabbing it.

Pacific Rim - If you can ignore the gaping plot holes and shallowness your inner 12 year old will have a blast.
 
Good day to die hard 6.5/10... watchable, thinking they're going to carry on the series with his son and this was just a transition movie. Pretty sure a Die Hard :New blood or something just as cheesy will be released soon.
 
3:10 To Yuma - 9/10. Really top notch classic style Western with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale.
