How does it compare to the Ashton Kutcher's movie Jobs? I watched that one which wasn't really too bad.

Would also like to know. I think Ashton got unfair reviews for that role.
His role of Jobs was fairly decent.

Steve Jobs - 3/10 ...... wasted my free bandwidth. Think I've been spoiled by the likes of Revenant now for drama.
Not that I liked either very much, but I would say that Ashton's Jobs is a million times better!

In The Heart Of The Sea - 8/10 ..... watched it more awake this time and enjoyed it. Had an odd 'nothing is happening' and then 'everything is happening' vibe but I overlooked that.

I'll score it a 5/10. Can only see Hemsworth as Thor and nothing else. Tries to be both a poetic Moby Dick and a hardcore Survival story. Fails on both counts. Young sailor ages 50 years in a space of 30.

The Intern. Not usually a film I'd watch but I quite enjoyed it, interesting story and well acted. One you can watch with your lady but not too chickflicky. 7/10

I loved the book but found the movie disappointing. My biggest gripe us that they never really had Watney in any real danger,I never felt like "oh sheet he could die here".I understand it's hard to love up to a great book but it fell short. Still it was a solid film with good performances so your 7/10 is spot on.

Steve Jobs (2015) 6.5/10
Unlike Jobs (2013) this movie focuses just on 3 iconic product launches, ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac. It is a good watch; I enjoyed it; some moment seem overtly melodramatic & the last 40mins takes a bit of a dive though. I expected a bit more from a Danny Boyle; writted by Aaron Sorkin movie though. I would say fairly strong performances from the 3 key characters: Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen. I think I would still rate Ashton Kutcher Jobs movie as the better one.
