I've been quite happy with rocketnet, although they don't do openserve.
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
Websquad for more open-cards approachSo what is the consensus here?
websquad, afrihost and vox are the options?
Gaming, streaming, and browsing all running super smooth (OpenServe 200/100)Any thoughts on Afrihost Fiber?
Thanks and services like Onedrive, VOIP?Gaming, streaming, and browsing all running super smooth (OpenServe 200/100)
I personally don't use VOIP or Onedrive but I imagine they will also run flawlesslyThanks and services like Onedrive, VOIP?
Office365 does just fine for me on AH 40/20 with OS, not a big user of OneDrive though mainly just the mail for work. I use freshphone voip which works perfectly. The pings are not as good as CI but I'm not a gamer so it's not such an issue, I also moved from CI after the first bout of DDoS - sure it's not their fault but I need to get my work done as I work from home, and their support is utterly hopeless aside from their forum rep. Not to say AH has great support but overall I've had a better experience. Their billing and account management interfaces are also good compared to CI. I know all the fanboys are super ok with them not having an indication of how much bandwidth you use per month but it's something I like to see and AH has a good portal + app for it.Thanks and services like Onedrive, VOIP?
I hope nobody chooses an ISP based on S.Claus' imagination.I personally don't use VOIP or Onedrive but I imagine they will also run flawlessly
If I don't use a service how am I supposed to tell him if its good or bad? In comparison to Cool Ideas, I don't see him running into issues (Happy ?)I hope nobody chooses an ISP based on S.Claus' imagination.

You should not. Just reply that you don't make use of those services. If I don't use a service how am I supposed to tell him if its good or bad?
Nobody should choose an ISP based on your lack of vision either. In comparison to Cool Ideas, I don't see him running into issues (Happy ?)
Oh yes I was, no fault in admitting that but their service comes at a premium above their competition and I have recommended many people to them before my area got fibre. But my point of reason is if a company cannot deliver to terms agreed upon, I'm voting with my wallet. Were you not one of the crowd jumping up and down in the CI help thread during the DDOS attacks? Screaming how bad it was and wanting to go to Supersonic?
I'm leaning towards WebSquad, I do not trust SS after seeing what a schitshow they are in the thread and from a few neighborsSame issues. I'm thinking Supersonic, MTS or WebSquad.
Apologies if I have been too busy dealing with my sick daughter to respond to your questions. Says the person that pops up whenever CI is badmouthed and never hesitates to jump to their defenses, dude as much as I like CI I cannot stay with them when my business and work depends on my internet connection. I'm just merely looking for the best ISP for my situation and in no way am I badmouthing CI.So let me get this straight - another DDOS attack and GlassMirror again pops up talking about moving from CISP and punting supersonic.
And I note he hasn't responded to my questions to him.
Hmm. If I was a suspicious person......![]()
Well, same here but I cannot stay if issues like this happens and my work depends on my lineCmon Splinter, he might be trying to log a ticket with SS for support.......
......give the guy a break.
And to the point everyone is making, each to their own, the forum is about our experiences with the different ISP's. I am an advocate for CISP purely because I have never had an issue with the line or their service outside of the DDOS attacks.
CISP on Vumatel and my line on the 100/10 package has been exceptional.

And yet I'm being made out to be like a child throwing his toys out the cot whenever I'm being inconveniencedThis. Had I been brick and mortar and my shop had to keep closing due to mall robberies, I would find another mall. In no way is it the mall's fault, but at the end of the day I have to earn a living.

Dude, why are you so angry? Then go vote with your wallet. But, all you do is complain and bad mouth.
Yeah, man, sure.
So now a sick daughter and your work. I thought it was your SO that was complaining about the line.
Then, for the last time, just move. I must say, if your work depends on your "line", I would have thought you would have done some serious research. As opposed to just asking folks here.
Dude, why are you so angry?
Had you done research a couple of years ago CISP would have been the ISP to go with, Crystal Web before that, Afrihost before that, and so on... Things change.
This thread reeks of schills....
