Hi there,
If you put the modem into a PC/Laptop does it connect to the 8ta network?
There is plenty of evidence on this and other sites that this combination does work but coverage from your network maybe the problem

I would suggest that you try it in another area to see if it connects there. All the cellular providers have areas where the coverage is not as good as they would like and you may be in one of those area.

Let us know how you go.

Tim

I am using exact same setup from last 1 year without any problem.
mr3420 router
cellc E1820 modem
8ta 10gig special.

Everything is working fine for me. I did not even update the firmware on the router from the time i bought it 2 years back.

Thanks Guys for the replies .....i borrowed my friend's Huawei router and plug in my sim and not a single disconnection....the connection has been running from last night till now.....so the 8ta connection seems fine...

i hear on some forums sayin this E1820 sometimes gets too hot and disconnects... so at the moment I am not sure whether the problem is the router or the 1820 modem?
