MTN 1 Day Uncapped Internet Bundle Tested

But still, 16GB in 24 hours doesn't make sense to me

I was keeping tabs on the DL speeds from various sources to compare and I found that after a while the speed would hike above the throttle limit to about 4Mbps at times, this was mosly in the early hours of the morning though.

I can confirm this does work. I managed to pull 3.5Gigs in 4.5 hours with speeds ranging from 2Mbps to 4Mbps. This is a nice exploit to have MTN mustn't find out about it, I say we do away with this thread.

If you know the ports that are open then you'll enjoy downloading data. Over the weekend I buy the bundles that way I can do as much downloading as possible...

Highly doubt it has something to do with someone profile. Loving this product once again. Reminds me of 2010 when we all absurd it

So far so good.. 23min pulled 1.1 gig .4 bar lte signal download speed around 700kb/s for origin =.=

Edit.. Spoke too soon.. pulled 1.8gigs then got throttled .

The good times are gone MTN has patched the exploit, I now get throttled without fail. I'm going to miss downloading gigs of anime. / manly tears

Now explains everything why they had to implement that new packet data system. They analysing traffic data packets before their system wouldn't be able to pick up certain protocols

Tried it today. Capped after about 300MB of data. Could be hit or miss or they fixed it.

Gave it a go now. Once I hit about 200mb it slowed down to 20kb/s

It seems to be hit and miss. Yesterday I managed 7GB of software updates. Today, instantly throttled after the 150MB. Surely this is a case for Ombudsman/ICASA/Cellular Complaints Authority? To call this offering 'uncapped' is absurd. It is capped by speed i.e. downloading constantly at 128Kbit/s, one can only get ~1GB. *sigh* the fleecing continues...
