MTN 3G Modem

Over the weekend I bought the MTN modem that comes with 75MB p/m for 12 months and it's R350.
It didn't come with instructions.
I've plugged it in and it installed the [bloated] MTN program and in the program it has received an SMS saying I have 75MB and if I click balance it does get it correctly - so it is definitely working.
But when I click connect it just hang's trying to connect and eventually says "Connection Terminated".
I've tried on 2 different laptops.

Is there something i need to do? Do I have to wait a day or two or something?

And finally, I also want to use a Vodacom sim card in it. How would I do that? Does anyone know their APN, username, and password?

APN internet, no user name, no password, exactly the same for Voda, CellC and 8ta. Dialing string *99#

better to verify directly on their website or call the customer service to be sure

Try killing the MTN dashboard and use the MDMA dashboard available here on the forum. This gives you more flexability to set the APN and 3G only or EDGE only etc.
See if that works.
