On the day the new ‘opt out of out-of-bundle-data’ rules came out,I made sure to kill that option.
Then I got this SMS today:
“Y'ello! From 7 June, when your Data runs out, you will stay connected with MTN's auto-renew 1MB bundle at 40c. Keep a positive airtime balance or Usage limit.TCs”
What the actual flip???
Just LOVE the positive spin....
‘You will stay connected’
It’s fraud now, I think?
What to do?
P.S.
Vodacom did the same on a Pre paid SIM I have
Also had to opt IN to ‘out-of-bundle-blocking’
Now THAT is also a clever mullet story, neh?
Only for it to promptly eat all my airtime...
Call Centre said they saw I did it all correctly.
Laid a complaint..
Response was.......?
“Here is R30 ‘GOODWILL’ airtime”
“Make sure to select a out of bundle blocking”
Aaaaaarrrggghhhh
(Oops I see I’m not only one)
