MTN Bill?

To date I haven't received a bill from MTN. Can't check it online either, seems their website's borked. This morning I went and paid them what my bill is on average. If they want more, I'll mail it to them in the same envelope as my bill.

'Tis the final straw, I'm fscking off to the smurfs

OMG - can anyone say useless - MTN have now decided that since they couldn't be bothered to run a proper billing system - they'll now send me EIGHT bills to make up for not sending me ONE when they were supposed to. FOUR of which were after they debited my account.

Aaarrgghhh - Five months left...

How useless can one company be - this month is the same story. I have logged a complaint on hellopeter and called three times, each time I was promised a bill within two hours (Friday, Monday morning and Monday afternoon) - and I'm still waiting.

My debit date is the end of this week - if I have not received the invoice by then I am reversing the charges, because the debit is not authorized.

These guys charge you almost R20 for itemized billing, and are too ****ing stupid to send it... even after three calls.

Then they wanted to confirm my address, they have Jhb., even though I have given them my Cape Town address three/four times over the past 16 months... USELESS

Yet another billing query!

I voted with my feet and decided to end my relationship with MTN Data. There remains one thing left for me to do, and that is to get my money back! R7,000 for one month's usage when my average over two years has been R700. My bank account is poorer, but still no explanation from MTN. PLEASE if there is someone from MTN that can assist me (Ref no 45678671)?

They're beyond useless - my company refunds me for business calls and data - but my bill has to be 100% (which it hardly ever is), and arrive before the billing date, which it never does.

Can't stand these useless bastards. I now have to phone for the 5th time.

OMG MTN suck - ask to speak to a supervisor - "One will call you back" <-- where have i heard that before....

USELESS BUNCH OF B LUMBERING IDIOTS. How difficult is it to send an emailed statement/invoice each month? My grandmother could do it.

MTN really is a disgusting company - I have now called again, and asked to speak to a supervisor, this was denied, I then asked to speak to the billing department, apparently they don't take calls, I then asked to speak to legal, this was denied by useless woman named Ester Mama.

I would be so embarrassed if my company had the ethics of MTN, in fact I'd resign.

Considering they haven't invoiced me, any debit will be seen as unauthorized and reversed.

I really cannot wait to be rid of them, I have been trying for over a month now to find out how to give notice on my account, and I'm still waiting for a response.

OK. Still waiting for my bill. I don't have a debit order (all the above evidence likens this to too much heartache with MTN), so I have no idea what to pay for the month. If I don'y pay my bill by a certain date, I am going to be cut off...

I can't wait for this! They can't get me my bill in time for me to pay it before the cutoff date- I can see it happening. Anyone know when this date is?

I'm going to go by a prepaid Vodacom card today. Change my voicemail on my mtn number telling people just how useless they are and to call me on my Vodacom number.

That way I won't have any charges on MTN, July isn't that far away, and then I can port back to Vodacom.

MTN want R3800 odd to cancel a contract with 5 months left I worked out R400 x 5 = R2000. Apparently they didn't do math - but then again, with the amount of mistakes on my bill, its no surprise, the probably included their future mistakes in their calculation.

They try to nail you with a "handset subsidy fee". They claim this is the amount the handset was subsidised by, but as you say, you only owe R2k. Losers.

LOL @ future mistakes- that is always a possibility:D

Is there any chance you can send your airtime to a friend or something instead of losing it?

That'd never happen.

Trying to find a cheap dual sim phone - that way I can use my free minutes on MTN, then switch over to Vodacom for SMS's, etc.

I received the following email today in response to a mail sent to them on the 5th of January. Good thing I sent a registered letter at the same time!

My mother had the same problem.. No bill this month and already have debited. I will tell her to do what xrapidx did in that they debited her account which hasn't been authorized, so she can get it reversed.

Also last month we had an issue where MTN double charged all calls and sms's! You can plainly see it on the bill and went to MTN to find out wtf this was about. Said they would look into it..

Just be careful - mtn will undoubtably have some clause in your contract stating its your responsibility to get the invoice out of them...

MTN Bills. If you do not have Itemised Billing, can you see your call history on the web? I know you used to be able to about 3 years ago, before they realised how much they could rip us off if we couldn't see what was crappening...

That is now another cost that I have to incur to make sure they do their jobs properly, and don't make any little "mistakes".

Yeh - I think 80% of my bills have had 'mistakes' on them - always in their favour.

As many as that:eek:

Hw do you find them? I have always wondered how accurate they are, but would never have thought they were that bad. I was always worried about the one big mistake where you get properly screwed- but then that is easier to notice. Lots of little "mistakes" is actually a whole lot more sinister... Oh dear:(

Mines mainly with data - it used to be with SMS bundles as well - but I canceled that as I got tired of dealing with them.

I don't even check calls.

It's basic math, and a query to sort out irregularities on their billing system would be simple, but fixing it would cost them money, which is probably why they don't bother.

I got my bill from MTN at last

Here's the funny thing - according to them, I downloaded 300MB of data, with some sessions as high as 20MB... the catch is, I only use data on my cellphone - for email (text only), and RSS.... not even going to take this up with them, on my way to buy a prepaid sim :)
