Well done, anyone knows if there's any clause for late activation (after applying and getting approved)?

I'm not in SA right now and applied (and got approved) for the black friday special and cant receive or activate the contracts? Will the promo still be valid for me?
Can't someone else receive the sim, hand over the Rica docs and activate the sim?

Even if it is you that the courier is supposed to deal with knowing couriers as long as whoever receives the sim has all the necessary docs and info they really don't care. Or just try schedule the delivery for when you are back, they make some people wait weeks when they screw things up, just do it the opposite direction this time.

Thank goodness mine is just in a MiFi device. And on my personal number/phone TrueMessenger does a stellar job (just like TrueCaller) of blocking these bastards.

Has anyone successfully activated datashare (50GB allocation) on the R149 contract? The option is available via the app.

Also got spammed, but not so badly. They must be using recycled numbers.

I got a contract from Vodacom about 8 months ago, purely for the phone (5s 16gb for R200 including R200 airtime). Never use the number for anything but put it into a phone the other day and was inundated with messages for a certain Maria Engelbrecht! So pissed off!!

I don't know what these fckers are up to but it can't be legal!!

Unbilled balance is also wrong on my side. They are charging R249 for the contract instead of R149.

I know someone mentioned that they are aware of it and fixing it. But for peace of mind I just popped them a friendly mail anyway to check into it and confirm that it is indeed going to be fixed.

Total excluding VAT R 363.52
VAT AT 14% R 50.89
Total R 414.41

And R218 + VAT = R249 so the same problem :erm:
And R99 connection fee is an unwelcome surprise :cry:

Got my SIM today, called the number for activations and told them I want to port my prepaid number to the new contract. 30 minutes later I received an SMS saying that I've been provisioned for the Talk+S package. Still have my prepaid airtime too :)

Waiting for the 50GB data now.

Apologies bud, which number did you call to request the port?
