MTN Black Friday Discussions

Despite my stuff loaded on my current sim, mtn is still sending me a SIM card. I ordered via the call centre.

Anyone experiencing the same? What's that sim being delivered about? And why are they sending it?

Those that have received their sims did the couriers deliver on the day they said that they would, was arranged to deliver today but courier never arrived.

Yes.

Anyone using a new sim in an iPhone having issues getting the new number active on iMessage/FaceTime?

Tried all the tricks I know of and it simply want accept the new number as a contact number for iMessage or FaceTime.

I always had problems with my FaceTime and iMessage activation so not using it anymore I don't know whether it has something to do with 2 Apple ID I have been using

My one sim is finally activated but the my mtn app does not show any promo subscription. Should I wait for it to be loaded or call them instead?

You should wait, it will take a couple of days for the data and mins to show.

Yeah, from what I can ascertain it's because the send and receive international smses feature isn't activated on the number. Note: I'm not referring to sms roaming but simply sending and receiving sms from South Africa to abroad.

On the phone to their helpdesk now trying to get the service activated. They wanted me to do it at a local MTN store. Fck that.

EDIT: And they can't assist, not surprised...

only little data from the 500mb
130mb i think
If I were you I would wait for the SMS saying the data was loaded. If it hasn't been done in 24 hours then give them a call. I got a seperate SMS as well.

This is a long shot but I don't suppose anyone wants to "sell" their 50gb promo? I don't know how it would work but perhaps I could just take over the number/payments?

How do you unsubscribe from the MTNYello SMS'?

I've sent STOP to 30246 3 times now but I still receive the spam everyday.

Anything yet Nadir? And are you paying R 20 additional per month for the secondary sim?
