None of the stores in Durban had stock of the phones available on this deal. Rumour has it that they may be running it across the board today. I've finally been released of my (pathetic) vodacom contract so I'm running prepaid for the past few days in anticipation of this 50gb. Fingers crossed for me!

Just order via the call centre, they might even offer other handsets if you're lucky.

Black Friday deal

My 2 dual call sims are bolted onto Cyber monday contracts

Question: Are either of you using mtn's web interface to monitor your accounts? And if so how are the dual sims represented on the online web interface?

The reason I ask, I'm waiting for 2 dual sims to go live but sticking them into a router/phone daily to check if they live or not is tedious. I assume once they linked to the primary number, that relationship would somehow be illustrated via the online web interface.

I've seen something similar on my partners dual sim setup. When you select delete a service or activate a service, 2 sim numbers pop up and you prompted to select one. I assuming this is also how I could check if my dual sims were active on a particular number?

Can't seem to login on that portal.

Shows nothing under the app also, but they did manage to set my usage limit to R3400! I have set it back to R0 now.

Has anyone managed to get data share working on this deal? I loaded the data share number on the online portal, called 808 yesterday and they said it looks all good. But, when going online with that linked number, it depletes airtime (number has no data loaded) and thereafter once the airtime is done, cant go online.

I understand that it will use the recurring data for the data share...but at the moment it does not appear to be working at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if I can request dual call after the contract has started (Black Friday)?

Get a Dual call sim or a normal Telkom analog handset and plug it in to the router, I tried it with disbelief and it works, you can dial out using the sim.

I don't think the package I have provide the Dual Call Sim option (bought after BF and CM deals). I tried connecting the normal phone and i get a dial tone but calls not going out. And when calling the number of the sim in the router it says number not available.

Is there something else I can try to make calls from the router?

Perhaps reset the router to default, that's what I did and right after that I plugged a phone into tel slot 1 and was good to go, not sure if you can receive calls but I could definitely make calls using the sim.

Maybe read up or ask on the B593 thread.

I had to change a setting on my router. IIRC it had to do with deactivating VOIP.

Yes, data share works but only on the standard contract data - the 50GB is excluded.
