MTN Black Friday Discussions

Just a heads up: Vodacom have their 30Gb + 30Gb data package on special till the 6th of next month for R350 a month with a router included.

Just received a SMS from MTN
quote "Y'ello! Your 50GB Black Friday promo is coming to an end-keep an eye out for your personal upgrade offer coming soon. T&C's apply"
This makes me think they might just extend it for us who purchased the black friday special two years ago? what do you guys think?

Honestly if I loose the 10k minutes it won't be such a big deal, but they got me hooked on the Data and now I cant live without it, I purchased an iphone 7 with the contract but there is nothing wrong with the phone so I am hoping I can just get a sim this time around.

I received the same message "Y'ello! Your 50GB Black Friday promo is coming to an end-keep an eye out for your personal upgrade offer coming soon. T&C's apply"

Lets hope they keep the package the same or offer a better upgrade. What really is frustrating is that it took MTN so long to alert high spending users about the status of this contract situation. Even the message they sent today is extremely cryptic. This is not how you treat customers.

High spending? These are R150 contracts.

Regarding moving to pre-paid, does MTN need a months notice?

Is there anyone on the forum that works at Mtn that can dig around to find out what may be in store for us?

Got the same sms, hope it's decent because I can't get any other internet connection out here.

I would love more than 50 GB but we have to be realistic here. Don't want to be a Debbie downer here but I'm expecting it to be much less than 50GB.

MTN are probably reading this thread like how Takealot read the voucher thread. You guys mustn't voice your low standards. Say you'll burn down the shops if the promo isn't bettered, MTN will need protection from yourself!
