MTN Black Friday Discussions

It seems to have mainly affected lines were MTN changed the min/data allocation to 25th/26th/27th.
Probably a system error during the migration. It’s going to be a long tedious battle to get them to do the allocation. The time that will be spent going from pillar to post is a total waste.

The 50gb was allocated last night. Still no 10 000 mtn to mtn minutes. I am going to log that again.

Still rubbish deals. Even the MTN shop website is near impossible to navigate. Always changing. Multiple links send you to the same page. Probably the worst experience I have ever had on a website to be honest

That 20gb anytime and 20gig night express is a tempting offer considering the router that comes with it.
I am going to hang around till BF and see what happens if nothing tickles my fancy I am definitely getting this deal.
I am tired of afrihost to be honest, same bundle same offers nothing changes in the past 2 years with them and I have outgrown the package I am on.

The higher bundles offer ZERO value and is more expensive then MTN. Seriously holding thumbs for a good deal on BF or before.

I'm starting to think that sms talking about personalised offers for Black Friday promo contract holders was bullshit. Surely they should of had given these offers already?

Went to the store. People have started receiving their offers. mtn looks at your usage and offers you something. Eg if you on a SIM only R149 50Gb but only use a average of 15gb pm they will align a offer to that usage.

Good to know.

Has anyone else gotten offers yet?

Yeah, they going to have to do better than that. My sim averages 1-2GB a month // other sim was kept for our beach house, so some months zero usage, then every now and then the full 50gb would be smashed.

Will see what happens. If they do contact me and lowball, I'll spin the wheel and see what goes to press on the 24th....

Meh decided I am going with this, don't really need more, don't need SMS's or minutes either, and I do use the night express quite often.Currently paying Afrihost R218 a month for 4.5gigs, it's basically R80,00 more a month, Not sure what the odds will be with regards to data only BF deals. The 14 gig pass is also sweet, and the double data is for the full 24 months. Not sure if I am jumping the gun a bit here but I have to cancel afrihost service by the 23rd or I get billed for the next month.

Was tempted to go for the deal for R339.0 that included the router but I already have a router and modem.

Seems I can't even cancel my BF deal.

They showed me in store, that I can only cancel in JAN, as that's when I took out the contract? I took it out on BF lol

Cancelled mine over the phone or atleast gave notice now wondering if I'll miss out on their offer? Then again not expecting much

Staff there must be wrong, I was told I can cancel from the day after the last day of my 24 month contract and will be billed pro rata up till the cancellation day.

Just received this sms from mtn "Y.ello! You are eligable for an early upgrade as your 24 month contract with MTN will be up for renewal on 25/01/2019, visit your nearest MTN store now! TsCs." I hope this early upgrade will still include the 50gig deal.

Great, go in and tell us what they offer you.
