MTN Black Friday Discussions

Whatever you do, do not activate marketing, schiiiiiit they spam the faq out of you, even after you block marketing again they don't stop, it's like opening pandoras box, 10-15 marketing sms per day, ouch :(

Has anyone managed to sort out their missing Zando vouchers?
Thought that might end up happening when you did the activation last week, thank goodness I didn't copy you
 
Went to the MTN store to query Dual Call issue. It's active on the system and not on the network. They logged a query. Phoned 808 for feedback and they say wait 3 - 5 days for feedback.

Anyone else's dual call activated yet?

Dual call still not working, will call again today!!

Do you guys have the numbers of the sims linked to the dual call? If you do, check the Rica site if you have been rica'd. If it says rica pending just call 808 and ask them to redo the rica process

I phoned Zando directly now and they said they give Mtn a big batch of voucher codes that Mtn assigns/sends to the new contracts, they themselves can only help once you have been issued a voucher.

Which are helpful Mtn guys to hit up in social platforms for help?
 
None of the mtn call center's can help me, said I need to phone the store. Store is not answering :(

First thing,is your sim showing network ? i.e. MTN is so try call any number then if it says rica barred then you need to call activation to remove it. That's what I did. You may need to call activation more than once since some of them doesn't listen properly

I got my third dual sim working already. If you have the phone number of the sim just check if it has been rica'd. I spoke to a guy at mtn and told him my sim isnt rica'd around 1PM today and the sim is active now. Its my fathers dual call sim and he only applied about a week ago.

how are you guys getting this right? I asked at the store I applied at but they say its not available?
 
Its only available for the black friday and cyber monday deals. They updated the Ts and Cs after that

Not showing network at all ATM.
 
Gtx, call 808, ask for number associated with sim, check number in Rica check. Your problem is probably the same as mine. RICA. Just go to the store and tell them reprocess RICA. I'm gonna do that as well.
 
That means they haven't activated it so call customer care to activate it. If they say they got error or something then back office should be able to do it in another 24 hrs.

Cool will try, the activation department told me they can't do anything lol. Will call till I get someone that can do it.

I did go to store last Saturday to process the RICA again, will go again if its not sorted by weekend.

OK the one I want to get dual sim on we got on cyber monday. Will give it another try

interesting development that.

I went into the store again today to try get my 2nd dual call sim working, the guy says it still shows as being sent for processing but the person assigned to it hasn't done it yet.

I think the main hold up is each Dual call sim is manually activated or whatever needs doing by a human one sim at a time, it's not automated, some office in Mtn is assigned all the applications and they work through it at a snails pace one by one.

It's on the document of the new deals that was going around. It stated Dual Call cannot be used on the 50GB deals.

I just remembered now seeing someone mentioning on another thread that they only got the Zando voucher the day after the first debit order went through. Anyone else notice that?

I haven't had a debit order run yet for my contracts, should happen any day now though.

And I applied for my third dual call sim after you and it's been activated already and working as normal

No debit order run yet, zando delivery of new hair trimmer scheduled for today. Gotta love a R250 off anything voucher

Just stripped my moer for the operator, can't do it they say, must done in store they keep on telling me!

Manager is on a call, can't speak to him right now. Will call back shortly to speak to him.
