MTN Black Friday Discussions

Yeah MTN has been excellent for me over the 2 years ...had i think 1 time when all of MTN was down and 1 day where there was no connectivity for few hours

Other than that its been excellent
 
Yeah I get 50mbs down and 20mbs up with a 25-30 latency but the latency has moments when it's 50-60ms

You answered your own question then ?. Obvious MTN ? MTN do have their moments, however they dropped the ball a bit with me, the never replied back with the online application, I am suppose to get 20gigs + 14gigs entertain pass valid for 30 days with this contract which they haven't assigned as yet.They normally say it takes 24hours, but I have seen horror stories trying to get promotional data allocated.

So will see what happens there, hopefully I don't have to call them back to get the promotional data allocated.

Sadly I don't have the time for it should better just work, busy with a steam project I start 9 months ago, that is in the final stages of being uploaded tonight, then testing and bug fixes and such.

Trying to use up my allocated afrihost data without wasting it, plus I have 2 sims with 10 gigs of data each(summer surprise data), plus getting my old contract data on Monday. Essentially I have 60 odd gigs I have to use up in the 3 weeks and finish of my project in between, and make sure afrihost cancelled their services.

Not sure TBH. We 3 users in the family. Think I might just port to the Telkom Freeme family package... R1000 for 50gb's and like 500 minutes I think it is (+ a whole lot of other titbits)... Can allocate to whoever needs it. I make next to no calls, nor does my kid. The wife will use the minutes. 50gb of data is more than enough @15gb per user/person. It's Telkom though... :cautious:

Then I am pretty happy with my deal then, was also my budget.Still have a cheapy contract that I can migrate if the deals on BF is decent, very much doubt pretty happy to wait it out.I would have gone telkom, but only telkom roaming. If you do go telkom, it's for life :D :D :D :D
 
So I guess the consensus is to wait till Black Friday/Cyber Monday and then compare to these upgrades.
 
I still didn't get any SMS, not even the SMS with the Opt In option. Anyone know how I can opt in?

When does this expire?
If we wait for BF 2018 deal will we still be able to sign up for any of the above deals?
