MTN contract

Your choice, I prefer returning the debit order, and blocking it - and I've been through MTN - will never deal with them again.

I've just had to learn the hard way as well - I'm sure this thread shows it and I hope many learn from my mistakes, but then again, watching people run to OpenWeb after there are 1000's of threads warning them about OpenWeb, you can't solve stupidity.

So, I spent all of Friday calling 021 527 2000 trying to get hold of Bandile - the line was engaged all day, and I think I called 250+ times (thank god for 'redial')

Anyway, I had a hunch, so instead of calling from my landline at the office, I called from my cellphone - call went through, Cheryl the receptionist answered, put me through. He didn't answer the phone.

I then called again 10 minutes later - engaged - I tried at least 12 times - engaged.

I then tried calling from my bosses cellphone - I get through, I explained to Cheryl that I'm going to come and sit there at that office, all day if I have to tomorrow if Bandile doesn't get hold of me - I'm waiting for that.

Just cause I can, I tried calling 021 527 2000 from the bosses cellphone again, engaged - tried 9 times after, (5 or so minutes apart) engaged.

Took my colleagues phone and dialed the number, rang.

I get the feeling MTN are blocking my number when I call - I might be losing it slightly, but yeah, once I call, I can't get through - lucky for them - they messed with the wrong person because I posted about this issue on Twitter - and a Cape Argus reported saw it and offered to do a story on it for me... MTN must keep their *** up with me and they gonna see what happens.

Something is definitely up

On the line with MTN now - I called 0831808

18th November 2015, 2x accounts were taken out under my name in Gauteng, Nicoleway (not sure if spelt correctly)
Numbers are: 0718867946 & 0718867944

I now have to goto the police station to do an affidavit saying that I never did that.
I spoke to Vuledzana Phalandwa from MTN who confirmed fraud activity and must e-mail the affidavit to [email protected]

This is madness!!!

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Two contracts with numbers 0603356515 and 0603359190 were taken out at nicolway in Jo'burg that I know nothing about. They were taken out on 19 jan 2016. I also have to now get an advadavit and submit it to them. The one is for an iPhone 6 and the other one is for a Samsung. Something is very fishy. Funny enough I also have a debit order.

just read through this and all I can say is :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

wife goes on prepaid as soon as I can out her on it! fsuck this.

So I got a reply yesterday:

Good Morning Mr. Sales

Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the time taken to get your matter’s resolution to this point. Attached below please find a screen shot for the request of the refund to your account amounting to R2292.59 (vat incl.). Thank you very much for your patience.

So now I just have to wait!

So this morning I woke up to a SMS from MTN - refund of R2292.59 paid.

Now on Monday morning, I just want Bandile to confirm (via e-mail so I can keep it as proof going forward) that everything is finally settled with MTN and MTN won't allow any more contracts to be opened.

Thought I won? No... This morning R1427 was taken from my account by MTN AGAIN!

I'm logging a dispute, waiting for reference number.
2 hours to speak to them! ARG!!!!!

I'm doing that now. I'm at FNB waiting. Screw MTN. I'm sick of them. I did it the nice way last time. This time I refuse.

Reply from MTN:

Good Morning Mr. Sales

My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused. I am not sure why the debit note to correct the original error was passed twice but I have investigated and found the culprit whom I will immediately engage to sort the mess they have created.

However, I went to FNB, reversed the debit order, put a block on MTN - I'm not struggling again with these idiots!

I replied to the above e-mail with the following:

Hi,

I’m so angry you can’t even understand.

I’ve just gotten back from FNB – I’ve had them reverse the debit order, also did a ‘document’ where MTN is blocked and signed and such.

There was no way in HELL I was going to struggle again to get my money back.
I logged a disput: (removed) with MTN this morning prior to doing the above, besides having to wait 2 hours to get hold of someone to assist me!!!!

MTN does nothing but cost me time and money!

/Nick

MTN is as bad as OPENWEB in my eyes! Thieving useless bastards!

Good Afternoon Mr. Sales

I can completely relate as I am equally upset at the fact that I had done all that was possible to lay this matter to rest and that I find myself back at the center of it again. Once again, I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
