Please note: I'm not complaining about MTN as such, (a year ago a guy at vodashop was asking me what is 3G. lol.), it is the customer service that is terrible at the dealers.

They called and just said It is not included. finish. I doubt they called Midrand as I told them to.
If there is anything you can do to convince then please feel free to contact them

This is the number that they called me with.

I will be collecting my card on wednesday. thanks.

@MTNDD , can you confirm that the E620 is compatible with the HP NC6120 Notebook , mine has 2 PCMCIA slots , the card goes into the slot , but does not make any connection with the pins
 
3gee, have you tried both slots?

Remove both the plastic sleeves that is in it.

I will check 2nite whether it will fit in such a laptop

yes i have tried both slots and yes i have removed the plastic sleeves :D ,

it just wont go the last bit to make contact with pins
 
problem solved guys , problem is card , not finished off properly , thanks for help

Hi just to let all know, I got my data card, INCLUDED was the headset (The dealer never opened up a datacard so they never knew it was included)
I got the 49pm Deal.

Thanks to MTN DD , cause he has really went out of his way to assist.
At least Now I am sure MTN has a rep that work.:D

ad hoc data bundles

Is one able to add adhoc databundles to a mycall 100 contract. ie this month 100meg bundle, next month 350meg bundle etc.
If so can one do this electronically via the mtn web page.
I contacted our local service provider who said one can only do this via the phone ? or in writing. ??? Does one post this writen paper via snailmail ??

The way these bundles work - you can from month to month change your bundle

e.g this month you load a 500mb bundle you find it's to much for you next month you want to change it to 1G you can do this..........

What I would suggest is supply the following info to either me via PM from month to month or email me and I can have it done for you but there are some circumstances.

You must be the account holder, you must have access to your address, id number, banking details or if you've set up a OKQ - One key question

You can use [email protected] or you can PM me and I'll forward it onto the SP but the info above is a must.

You know the number you use to dail when you connect via your phone? to the internet the mtn number? is it possible that cellc can also connect with that number?

PCMCIA to PCI problems

Hi folks

I've got an Elan P111 PCMCIA to PCI adaptor and I'm using an MTN Huawei HSDPA data card. My problem is that my pc always bluescreens on first boot up, if the data card is not inserted then as soon as I insert it it crashes or I get a msg invalid card. However on a subsequent boot it works fine. I've flashed my motherboard bios to the latest version however this still does not rectify the problem. I would appreciate any help on this matter.

What I can suggest is that you remove the drivers, then plug the PCI adaptor along with the data card into your machine after you've removed the drivers then reboot but before you reboot make sure your adapter and card are plugged in, then reload the software and see what happens I had the same problem.

data bundles

Hi.
Does mtn supply adhoc databundles? if not when will they. Do these run a calendar month or one month from the time of buying.
If one cannot get adhoc data bundles and one buys a monthly data bundle does the bundle run for a month from the starting date or does it run for a calendar month from buying or do they supply a pro rata data amount and charge a pro rata amount.
