MTN Not working?

I can only make calls to landlines. How am I supposed to make plans for friday night if I can't get hold of anyone :(

at this stage i'm still "stuck" at home without communication....
 
Not wanting to butt in but the MTN guys have been keeping us up to date (as it affects the interconnect) and they've escalated the cr@p out of this thing, a number of offices in a few countries are on top of it.

So they're driving it as hard as they can.
 
Is MTN still having a problem on there network , I`ve being trying calling one of my friends this morning and I`m still getting a "network busy" message.
 
still problems, yes. I can't call my cell from my landline. If you try and try and try it sometimes works.
 
I know it resurfaced in Cpt this morning, not sure of the rest of the country. MTN told us they're on top of it.

I get updates every few hours, not sure if I should post it here? :confused: Don't want to appear as if I'm butting in anywhere....
 
MTN Data still down in Cape Town too. At least in Durbanville.
 
Data seems to be fine. Posting this from my phone. Cannot make calls to MTN numbers.
 
I still can't connect to the data network here. Maybe it's just a Durbanville issue.
 
I can now receive incoming calls, *162*pin# service is back online, can see the MTNZONE cell broadcasts again, but unable to use data.
EDIT: Don't seem to be able to send MMS either.

@v3g: Please butt in with whatever information you are able to share.
