MTN reduces uncapped mobile broadband pricing

That was a quick response from MTN to 8TA.
Now just Vodacom left and Vodacom will always react to the old foe MTN.
 
24 month contract ? Nah, I will stick with my two X 5GB Cell C prepaid deals, and 1 X 2 Gb Cell C deal for my iPad
 
These should be called MTN’s Broadband Throttled Lite package and MTN Broadband Throttled Pro.

I hate this Uncapped = 3GB + throttled to 128kbs marketing stuff. pfffft.

Nice price reductions though... pity about the schpeel and the contract only.
 
Why not get 3 X 8ta Deals (20GB @ R299 = 60GB un-throttled for R900) the only catches would be 30GB All day/ 30GB after hours, buy ur own device and the R200 SIM & Connection Fee, but still a far better deal for the money.
 
Another ISP who doesn't understand english - tell me MTN what does uncapped mean? certainly NOT what you are offering

yip - agree! I dont like the aup at all.
 
128Kb unlimited is uncapped but I can with 100% certainty say they will hardcap you if you download constantly.
 
Is it just me, or do you guys also think there's another ASA complaint coming our way, broadband is 256k and faster apparently, so when they throttle you to 128k, it's not broadband anymore... ?
 
I was about to ask the same question--the lowest "fast" internet (read: not dial-up speeds) is 384K, so why 128K? Where did they get that from, and why?
 
How the hell is it uncapped if theres a 3 and 10GB fair usage policy 0_o thats not even close to what you can call an uncapped package.
 
My problem is i only have mtn coverage.
Since i pay R350 for 1 gig on zuper zlow 384kb, though additional data is much cheaper, this deal may prove fruitful. What stops me is 24 motnh contract.
