MTN sim in Vodafone Huawei E620

I know there are many threads about this title, but I can't fine a conclusive answer anywhere.

1. Can I use a MTN sim in the Vodafone card?

2. If so how does one go about this and what software etc...does one use?

Sure you can, provided the bastards didn't sell you an operator locked card, in which case head back to the Vodacom forum and ask vodacom3g to send you the 8-digit unlock code.

The easiest is just to download the MTN F@stlink dashboard software here or here.

It should work with the Vodafone software too I think, both MTN and Voda use the internet apn.

How would I know if the card is locked, and if it is and I get the code, how does one unlock it?

Just put an MTN sim card into the data card, and run the MTN software and see if it works.

If it turns out that your E620 is locked, then follow the instructions in v3g's How to unlock your E620 data card thread.
