I got mine for work, no problems...happy. Downloads (movies, etc.) are a bit slow but does not bother me. Think of what you're getting for that price. And bonus: you can take it anywhere with you.:D

I also can't complain.

Current download speed (throttled) while downloading a huge 12GB file to my PS3: 102 Kbps (Kilobits p/s). Started the download last night (10 Nov) at 21:25 and by 04:30 today (11 Nov), 1072 MB have been downloaded. Not too bad. And while that's going on, surfing the net on my laptop remains suprisingly hassle-free.

Download speed test with the PS3 download on pause: 324 Kbps.

Verder is ek heel gelukkig.

I've got the MTN Uncapped Lite contract and brought my MTN Sh@reLink B683 router with me to work today, went online, did a few speed tests and I am totally amazed at the results.

I work in Brummeria, Pretoria and stay in Murrayfield, Pretoria. From my home to work is about 7km. At home, when checking the Gateway, I rarely get a signal above 2 lines and download speeds of about 90Kbps to 120Kbps (throttled) and 250Kbps to 450Kbps (first 3GB).

Here at work I get a full signal (4 lines) and did speed tests on speedtest.net and speedtest.co.za:

speedtest.net: upload 1.81Mbps and download 8.50Mbps
speedtest.co.za: upload 1935Kbps and download 5949Kbps

Obviously I'm not throttled at the moment but wow, I never realized that a full signal and a few kilometers can make such a huge difference.

Do you perhaps know when you get the 3gig monthly on uncapped? Some say 13th of every month, some say 16th?

Well, last month it was the 12th and this month it's today (14th). Kicked in this morning.

When I signed the contract the guy at the MTN shop said the 12th of each month.

Swaar

How are you finding it after the 3gb has gone...once throttled.

Still usable?

Yes, absolutely. Even when throttled you can still surf the net without any problems. I really can't complain.

If your modem keeps going to EDGE just go to Settings>Network and choose WCDMA only. Your modem will never use EDGE again. But even then you still get crap speeds but still better than EDGE though.

Tried my hand at a spot of online racing with Forza Horizon since Saturday morning, really great fun and while throttled I had absolutely no problem playing online.

Also gave Dead Island, Borderlands & Far Cry 2 a go on multiplayer and again, no problems whatsoever.

I noticed the other day my speeds were terrible as always (about 300kb/s) and then one of my torrents starts seeding and the download and upload speeds were sky high (1mbps+) but when i capped my torrent uploading speed to 1kbps to prevent my 3GB from being used up the speeds dropped instantly to less than 400kbps and it hasn't been higher since. Any idea why? It's really strange. I tried removing the cap from my torrent's upload speed but no change even when torrents are uploading
