Wanted to sign up today. MTN shop knows nothing about this. They only sell the 24 month contract. They referred me to the call center... who says only the shop knows.
This is South Africa, I guess....
As crap as Telkom LTE prepaid is, it is a reality. It exists. You get a sim and the data flows.

It should tell you that you are covered for both when you put your address in, so mine tells me I am covered for both Fibre and home broadband (LTE)
I guess if yours just says Fibre, you don't have LTE. But rather go onto there whatsapp chat and confirm your address with them and they should help.
 
For those wondering if you can do a DataShare/Multisim, the answer from Supersonic is "no".

Anyone purchased a router through Supersonic (Huawei B612)?
Can it be used with other Sim cards e.g. Rain?
 
From the Rain website:

"Your rain SIM will work in any 4G router, unless the router has been locked to another network provider."

Which begs the question - does Supersonic/MTN lock their routers that one can purchase through them?

Cell-C router and current Vodacom router both Huawei's, just had to create a profile, for the new sim, ( Afrihost ) and all was well, not had the opportunity to look at an MTN router.

It occurs to me that there should not be a need to create a profile if the SIM used is MTN, Vodacom or Cell-C, as they use the same APN i.e. "internet " , not sure about Telkom, but I think they to use APN "internet "

Afrihost uses APN "afrihost", and thus a different profile.
 
Been waiting for my SIM for more than a week. Tried to inquire but the Whatsapp support is useless, doesn't reply and the waiting queue on the phone is too long.

Already have a bad feeling about this...
