I take it you don't have DSTV. It's R809 base and an extra R99 for the extraview and PVR access fee. They've got quite a lot of recent stuff, probably more then Netflix (which is normally a season behind). They have also not had any 80s things for about ten years as they got rid of that channel.Premium package +\- R999, and the dwindling lack of recent content and the infamous repeats coupled with the takkie 1980’s marathons, makes it easier for us as subscribers to move to other forms of entertainment. MultiChoice needs to seriously consider a better strategy to maintain their client base, and become more competitive, instead for just raising their subscription, to very exorbitant values.
The repeats granted are on the international channels, yes the movie channels also repeat maybe twice a week or so. But who watches that much TV?
I've got my PVR and I've got to watch that all first before I even look at repeats. Netflix is great, I can watch that 70s show, Star Trek right through and various other things from the past.
Yes the price of DSTV is really high, but honestly things are expensive I went for a pizza last night with the family and that was R450 and things are just not going to get cheaper
