MultiChoice takes on illegal streaming sites

Multichoice! If your streaming actually worked with the influx of views during these periods, people might take you seriously. When a pirate site streams better than your premium service, we know where the problem lies.

Multichoice us but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

I tried unsuccessfully for 45 minutes to get SABC+ to work.

Edit: Now the SABC+ website is returning error 404. What a joke.

Sin-bin warning as illegal rugby streaming blindsides DStv

Paywalled, but the headline suggests they were completely taken by surprise that people would find 'other ways to watch'?

Nothing along those lines ever crossed your mind, really?

and its paywalled :ROFL:

I don't think they realised how good the streaming sites would be....
They are trying to control this every way possible but its all falling apart.

Watched the full match on my SmartTV (Hisense), in HD, without doing anything illegal - using a bunny aerial nogal, as my mounted antennae was damaged in a storm and taken down years ago.

@AfriGuy

If one of your clients was somehow caught streaming illegal DSTV streams does AH have a legal obligation to assist multichoice to identify the user?

I would never think of using NordVPN and watching the Bokke play in 1080P on ITV.com or the ITVX app for free with no buffering. That would be immoral and highly unrecommended. Don't use those services. Pay DSTV R799. It's the right thing to do.
