MultiChoice's FY24 results show it is technically insolvent

"technically insolvent" is like technically pregnante, either you are or not

The loss looks almost entirely related to foreign exchange losses. How does that happen? Is it when they repatriate money or cost of content? I'd think cost of content would be in the cost of provision the services unless they're using clever accounting terms in some enronomics befuddlement.

Also remember the other currencies in Africa that dropped a lot

Well, you'd at least know when they scored and see the ball in slow motion replays :D

Edit: You can hardly see the ball when on their stream on TV it gets so bad at times.
I suppose, not watched sport on stream :)

How much would you pay?
Maybe R100 per game/match/race?
Or an all inclusive sports channel for R350.

Right now I am paying probably R400 per watch (F1 and occasional rugby).

1 channel for R350? Which sport would you like it to show you? Would need to depend on the rights and their costs though?

Don't forget, advertising and reslling the rights to other broadcasters should cover their costs admirably
For which sport though? If it's all inclusive one channel for R350, who gets the preference? Say there is an F1 race at the same time as a big rugby match, or soccer match or womens tennis or or? The biggest draw would get preference wouldn't it?

The problem is that the price you're paying now is subsidised by the 500 other channels. Take that away like PPV where you pay R1000 for a boxing match.
