As already pointed out those refusing to attend these lectures have not been shown to be representative. And frankly doctors struggle to explain a lot of things to their patients.

I asked my wife how big her medical classes were, she said "40", I asked her how many were Iranian, she answered "half".

Its cheaper for them to learn in Manila and they get to learn in english.

This would be the same as walking out of a Geography course, because you believe the earth has 4 corners

99% will accept evolution one day, just like most people accept the earth is not flat anymore.... it just takes time for the ignorant idiots to accept it.
(and they are ignorant, because instead of learning something they don't see/believe yet, they just cover their ears and run)

Actually in the arabic dialect theres a distinct difference between q and k so yes it is quraan. "infidel";) lol.Ok but honestly i don't think im offended by things like spelling muslim as moslem or quraan as koran,the point coming across is more important than spelling imo.:)

As for the students well maybe they should just see what the evolution lecturer has to say and make up their minds from there,we are filled with different knowledge everyday and its our choice what we choose to believe or not believe,why the big hoohaa? lol reminds me of ostriches burying their heads in the sand....thats not going to make the world go away!

I was an engineering student and always payed attention to any theory and after having given it a proper hearing then only would i decide if im for/against/or undecided with regards to it.

Yeah if there preaching going on then its a whole different ball game lol personally i would start preaching back to the fool and if he tried to kick me out id start an uprising:D

The really ironic thing is that when it suits him in other posts he makes himself seem like the angel of peace. "Oh iran wants to abuse human rights" blah blah blah.....some people can be such cowards.

This is a science class and not a philosophy class. You have to learn, understand and accept the facts. If you believe differently you would have to perform your own research, get it published and reviewed etc. This situation is as absurd as a YEC boycotting a geology class cause in his "opinion" he doesnt believe in an old earth.
 
Can Islam be taken seriously as long as it denies the fact of evolution?

Right now, I can only take moderate or liberal muslims seriously as long they dont lie about evolution. When they lie they just make faith look foolish.

If you are studying to work in a profession that deals with cold hard facts, and you allow your belief system to override any of those facts - whether you make it obvious or not - then you are NOT FIT to serve in that profession. End. Of. Story.

Oh, and tell me what is hateful about my post... or is it that I'm making an argument that you religious types can't debate, so you (as usual) resort to unsubstantiated personal attacks?

I've never claimed to not be a warmonger, so I guess you're just pulling things out of your ass as usual. And for you to accuse me of hypocrisy... that's rich.

A theory is an overarching framework that makes sense of otherwise disconnected observations.

A fact is not a statement of certainty, but through repeated confirmation it is generally accepted as true according to the reliability of inference (inductive, deductive, and abductive). Facts are "events that occur" or "the state of being of things" that can be publicly verified, proven through experiment, or witnessed by direct observation.

Stop ly***. Theory makes more sense.
 
The theory of evolution in total is just that, a theory which i believe to be untrue.Evolution in small doses does exist but theres a limit as to how far it can go unaided.

If the class is using this as a means to push a darwin type total evolution agenda then it would be uncalled for and I would agree with the muslim students,however if the basics of our understanding of what we deem "evolution" is being discussed(Things like bacterial mutations and memory) then the students should take part in it as its still open to further study before total evolution can be proven.

I still maintain unaided evolution is only possible up to a certain point.
