Lol at 37.55GB .. I regularly do more than that over a weekend on OpenWeb

Okay i am somewhat confused, so if i used 40gbs last month, and i use 60gbs this month, are you going to throttle me?
I currently have 10+ devices connected to the Wifi, and have no idea who wil download what, if im going to get throttled before i used up my 110GB’s im not going to be happy.
This far i have been very happy though, but only used ±30gbs basically for updates, cellphones and streaming, this will change in the very near future.
So if i only move 30gb this month, i will get throttled next month if i move 40 - 50gbs?, whats the 110GB threshold all about then?Afternoon Lament, the threshold is based on the actual data moved for the past 30 days.
My Account does provide you the last 30 days usage, in order for you to keep an eye on it.
I would really like to know??, i was let to believe i have 100GB+ per month to do as with i please, im not paying R240pm to get throttled at 30gb. The moment i get throttled and its below 100GB my immediate cancellation will follow, i did not cancel my Afrihost account to be worse off.
The key part is that its a 30day rolling window.
Today, the last 30 days usage will be considered starting with yesterdays usage.
So from the 24th March to the 24th February (no usage on the 23rd)
Lets calculate as though you've obtained 30days of usage. (usage on the 23rd)
Tomorrow we will calculate the usage from the 25th March to the 24th February and drop the actual usage on the 23rd February.
On the 27th, we will calculate the usage from the 26th March to the 26th February. We will then exclude the actual usage moved on the 25th from our rolling window data.
I hope that makes a bit more sense.
You first mistake was even considering Mweb. Cancel and get yourself a new ISP.
So which basically means what i have been saying?
That's not cool Mwebguy, if i knew i had to max out my line each day not to get punished next month i would have opened Utorrent and download the crap out of my line, so im being punished for being considerate?
I'm not saying this to be funny, and its a drop in the ocean, but the moment i get throttled im canceling and going back to Afrihost, i can get 100GB for R200 throttle free.
The rolling window is based on actual data.
Please do note that the standard 2MB package does have a threshold of approximately 70GB (upload data not included in rolling window).
So which basically means what i have been saying?

Thats exactly what i have been asking the whole time. It's not at all what your said. You seem to be under the impression that your threshold is based on your previous 30 days usage. So if you use 30GB this month then next month you're limited to 30GB. It's not. Your previous 30 days usage is used to see if you have gone over the particular account threshold (for me it's 70GB).
You get your 100GB. It's just not in a calender month but a rolling 30 days.
My understanding:
You have used 60Gb in the last 30 days with the first day included in that having used 5GB of data (let's call it Day 1), the second day included you used 3GB (Day 2)
You then use 10GB today. Tomorrow that 10GB will get added to your rolling window total and the Day 1 usage will call off. You will now have a rolling window total of 65GB.
You then use 0GB the following day. This will be added to your rolling total and what we referred to as Day 2, which is actually the 1st day now included in the window, falls off. Your usage for the 30 day window will now be 62GB.
Thats exactly what i have been asking the whole time.
Why was OP throttled then after 2 weeks and only used +- 30gbs?
So before anyone takes up a contract with mweb, we need to do a 2 day course to understand the rolling period, i have absolutely no idea what you tried to explain to me there.

My personal experience has been good this far, but i do monitor my usage. I have been trying no to be a bandwidth hog, but there are A LOT of people connected to my wifi, and much more bandwidth will be used coming month, and i don't want to be throttled before reaching my 100GB limit, especially not while watching (streaming) rugby on a Saturday while having a braai.I have not seen a conclusive answer to that but the speculation is that, being a new subscriber, there is no 30 day period to use so some sort of projection is used.
And what is your personal experience? Why the reference to the OP, perhaps his was a glitch is the system which, based on his absence from this thread, has either been resolved or he has no internet.
So the 51GB should not surpass 100GB?
