MWEB Abuse Notices Complaint

You mean difference? Not sure why you're being so pedantic but I've quoted what he said the limits are, I made mention of official rep as previously the guesstimates were based on what had been experienced by users that were throttled, ie. not official reps.

What do these terms have in common when related to limitations or thresholds?

accurate vs. approximate vs. average

Well I would think that R90 is not the same is aprox R90, hence I'm asking the question.

Exactly.

Approximately is mostly a thumb suck in this case... since there is no accurate given limitation, no mentioned threshold established by Mweb. We as the users are trying to estimate the average limitations.

Who said the limit was absolute?
I've updated it and had it closed with the official limits from MWeb Guy himself. Gonna take it out of my sig soon.

Doesn't the use of the word offical as in your qoute point this out?

Sure approx is better than mweb saying nothing, but it is not 100% there yet. How are they measuring their approx? Do they use increments of 10megs or 10gigs? Approx 100gig can mean 90gig or even 110 gig...

That, once the words official limits were used, one would assume it is seen as accurate limits not thumb sucks.

I don't believe the limits provided are in any way fixed in stone - they really shouldn't be.

What is really interesting is MWEBs apparent inability to tie lower uncapped speeds on higher speed lines to their standard accounts. I really am starting to think that they have a marked shortage in network management skills - probably the product of several bad management decisions

Have you heard the word leeway before?

So... What is the maximum and minimum deviation in this leeway and calculated on which accurate totals?

Who knows, hence the reason why it's an approximate figure, as Paul pointed out these approximate limits are not and should not be set in stone.

Approximate speed limits, yes. Why? Since there is no accurate limit.

No the accurate limit is on the signs, 60/80/100 etc. It's the the inaccuracy in both the measurement and control that gives it leeway. Same is being applied here IMO.

So where is these limits indicated by Mweb, no signs that I can see? Your're argument is invalid in my opinion with no accurate numbers, neither percentages to indicate the deviations.

0 <--- The accurate number of fscks I give :)

The ISPA Complaints Procedure sets this matter as being in steps 7-9 which has a target turn around time of 3 calendar weeks. It entered that step on 21st October which on Monday will have been 4 weeks ago so its taking a little longer than the target but I will probably wait until 5 weeks of hearing nothing further (I haven't been asked for any further information) before querying because it is a target turn around and I imagine that an adjudicator is going to want time on this one - if I was an adjudicator on this I would want time to prepare a proper adjudication

It is almost 2014 and perhaps we shall see something then from the ISPA in the new year.

Would be surprised about ISPA turnaround. In 2013 I needed to challenge 3 DMCA complaints and ISPA was unable to get a response from the ISP and the complainant. Then I am still stuck with 5 ISPA complaints I lodged of which none have been answered, despite having exceeded their own SLAs. To me ISPA is no more than a membership for ISPs without any interest about the actual internet (remember that ISPA members contributed to ECT act and POPI of which both are absolute garbage and not practical when it comes to internet laws)
