MWEB ADSL international down

Moan!

I'm with Tim, my Afrihost prepaid backup account coming in real handy atm.

Hmm, I wonder if Mweb will agree to give me a R20 rebate (which is what it costs me to keep an "emergency" 1 Gig Axxeslite account going)

For F's sakes. Another fooked weekend.
I trust Mweb will give us a prorata price reduction for this May cluster fook.

mweb adsl

i dont know about u guys but u joined mweb to get away from vodacoms bad service what a let down

I recall an ISP explaining this once as well: they don't have full redundancy in place as this costs money and will not allow them to provide ADSL at such low costs as they are now.

Except that MWeb is not exactly a mickey mouse operation FFS! They are part of the Naspers Group - an organisation with SIGNIFICANT financial resources.....I wonder what Hein Brand thinks of this debacle....

Did you see the latest FB comment from SEACOM:

"Seacom SEACOM backhaul service provider link down from Mtunzini to Johannesburg. Some distruptions may occur. We will update you further at 10am tomorrow. Thanks"

10am - I hope that is a typo!

I'm not one to complain, but a trend certainly is developing here. every weekend we have the same problem lately.
And every weekend the dreaded Seacom argument comes up.
Surely it is happening far too often to be a good thing.
Come on MWEB. Don't let the product suffer the same way your communication does. It is non existant.

Haven't these okes heard of redundancy? And why they using Neotel anyway, Neotel is crap.

What's a joke is that it seems to be a local link that's down - surely that's the easiest part to get right.

More and better communication from MWEB would be very welcome. No communication makes me uneasy, like you get the feeling this is going to continue to be a problem. Come on MWEB, tell us what's the deal.

'Fortunately' I'm going to be away this weekend anyway, otherwise I would be really pissed off right now.

Thieves are digging up the fibre thinking it's copper...

Indeed, I think it was either Afrihost or Axxess (both were screwed when "SEACOM" was down that time).

Damnit MWEB , my fiancee is giving it to me in the NECK cause she cant play Treasure Island on bloody facebook....
And I aint giving her my telkom account :)

DON'T WORRY MWEB SUBSCIRBERS... DON'T CHANGE ISP's MWEB WILL make this up to us I'm sure ...

Leaving aside your xenophobic remark, you clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about. Anyone who has been to India will tell you that the service culture there puts most countries to shame. By comparison, South Africa falls very low on the list of service cultures. Let's see - Transnet, Eskom, Telkom, MTN, Vodacom, M-Web... Or were you including all of South Africa in your remark as well?

Please man, India can suck my balls. I have had it with helpdesks hosted by them. They are an international support joke! Don't you read?

Twat

PS: SA support teams just need to be more honest and open with their fault reporting in my opinion

Get your act together mweb, I shouldn't have to keep a backup account because you can't provide a decent service.

Frankly I wouldn't know who to change to anyway that would be better ... with the amount of GBs I've gotten out of my MWEB account just this month, it's still worth it for to me to stay on.
