every ISP I join ends up getting sold :(

M-webs benefit has always been its content offerings and value added services. Let's hope whoever buys them can keep that and still bring their prices down! oh... and keep the free local access as well! :D

Please pass me your details, so I can ensure we don't sell you any broadband products. ;)
:D

I think it is too late for Vodacom (with imminent Vodafone sale) and MTN & Telkom are also not safe bets with all the discussions going on. I guess Cell C or Neotel are his only options :D

/Awaits imminent corporate action statement from Vodacom :) Buys more shares...

There are varying reports on the value of MWEB and the price it is likely to fetch, with some analysts predicting a value around R 1.5billion while others predict that it can fetch a price of R3billion or higher.

wow...i would halve the R1.5 billion :)

- no certainty with regard to eventual licensing
- very little prospect of getting their WiMax play to market
- would need to have a close look at the content links between MWeb and Naspers

my money is on a small dark-horse doing the deal...

I see nobody has voted Vox? Any particular reason for that?

I think an Altron company will take it. Either Altech/Bytes
