I think it is too late for Vodacom (with imminent Vodafone sale) and MTN & Telkom are also not safe bets with all the discussions going on. I guess Cell C or Neotel are his only options

There are varying reports on the value of MWEB and the price it is likely to fetch, with some analysts predicting a value around R 1.5billion while others predict that it can fetch a price of R3billion or higher.

wow...i would halve the R1.5 billion

- no certainty with regard to eventual licensing
- very little prospect of getting their WiMax play to market
- would need to have a close look at the content links between MWeb and Naspers

my money is on a small dark-horse doing the deal...
