Any advances on PS3 gaming access speed. The reason I ask is that last night a game was like flying. Everything was so fast it felt unnatural as compared to before.

I would just like to thank you from my side for the great work you've been doing for us at Mweb. I've been following the thread and really appreciate that you come on here to help sort out the problems us gamers experience. It's not everyday that a company representative goes out of their way to make sure that their customers are sorted and happy. I'm a VERY HAPPY and satisfied capetonian mweb uncapped customer and I know that any problems that might come up will be tackled head-on by you and your team (not that there is anything wrong! ;) ). Thanks for all the effort you put in and happy holidays!
 
Thanks Vonnii. Appreciate it :) Things haven't always gone smoothly this year, but I think we've made some great progress, both in terms of the growth of the network and in terms of building better relationships with our customers. I'm looking forward a lot more exciting things happening next year (and maybe even another surprise, or two from Santa this year). I just picked up a copy of BC2:Vietnam for myself from the EA store - very fun game - if you already have BC2 you have to get this :D

Nothing specific was done for PS3, if you're in Cape Town you might be seeing better connections to PSN though?
 
Gaming on Mweb has become a joke. Wanted to cancel my account in Dec but missed it by 1 day. At least i can use the news servers.

I certainly am - whatever has changed has, as a positive side effect, improved PS3 internet experience as well.

Very glad to hear that :) The same to you and yours for the holidays and remember to stay sober behind the wheel (unless it's NFS :D) The wicked will be taking a little rest in the first half of January, so I will be around for Xmas and New Years.
 
I predict more problems and people lagging again this week.

You know instead of having sour grapes about your issues you could just cancel the service and get another one...... Moaning about something and then not doing anything won't really change anything if you don't like the service then cancel and speak with your money pretty simple. Unless you like complaining?
 
Piet if you'd like to put that cancellation on hold It can always be arranged. If you find in the next month or so that you're still not happy I will personally make sure that the notice period gets waived for you.

I like to complain and its my right to complain if I pay for a service. Thats just it, we should complain if its not working 100%. Thats the whole ****ing point of this. Personal insults is not the point of this, so kindly **** off.

Just cancel dude, MWeb still has YEARS to get to the level of service that will meet at least my expectations and probably yours too... Really isnt worth the effort anymore and the headache of trying to let your voice be heard

OtakuD coming from a background of having gamed competitively for quite a few years I understand that there are gamers with very high standards for their connectivity - what else would you suggest that we could do to make the service live up to your expectations?

Just thought I'd chime in and say that I've had a huge reduction in international latency. Its now the lowest I've ever seen on any SA account (CPT). I'm getting a consistent 185ms to Europe ingame. WoW still has it's ups and downs, but its now the best I've seen it on my Mweb account without using a workaround like Battle Ping. I've been getting 185ms-400ms in WoW which isn't constant, so something is still interfering with it, but that's a massive improvement over how its been the past few months.
