OPTION_TOOLTIP_OPTIMIZE_NETWORK_SPEED = "Enable this option to optimize network usage for speed in order to decrease lag.\nThis will increase your bandwidth usage, and may cause problems in some environments. Disabling this option may help resolve certain disconnection issues.";

Not handy on a 384k line I can most likely assure you! The non ticked option will most likely be what we have now, no optimisation.

Most likely, we will probably see Blizz enforced restrictions on addon spam / communication. Would be great!

hey will i cant log into wow, is it because seacom is down, so they blocking some services?

i load then i just dissconnect

Very cool Kosmik - that looks intense :) I'm playing a bit of WoW myself this afternoon and after some massive spikes when the failover to SAT-3 kicked in it has stabilized nicely now and I've been able to continue playing.

same thing here sadly :(

when trying to log in does not even go over 2.3kbs, no not even trying to load :(

Not sure if this is normal. But on uncapped shaped 384kb, when my fiancee loads of a website on the other computer, I get pings of 3k-13k on Rift. This has been happening before this weekend's whole Seacom thing.

I don't know if this is related to SEACOM thing either, but on Neffy 25 man, I get instantly disconnected with the second electrocute. Quite weird, I am guessing there is an influx of data at that point, even some other people (just 1 or 2) go off at the same point.

Question to fellow forumites - how is 512k for raiding? Same issues? Would I be wasting the extra cash or would the extra 10Kb/s help with the data flow?

most time when you load website you max out 384 line causing the high ping, i had same on 512k on that insane but did happen.

Hmmz just logged in with over 9000!! ms.

Over to Axxess tonight for raid it seems =(

over 9000!!

i was sitting on 170ms, and chatting to bud on jhb side was on 260, weird that your is not working :(

Well Axxess failed me as well...went back to MWEB with a promising 180ms but that lagged out as well.

Afrihost may set me straight with their free gig account xD

I definitely don't think 384k is fine for raiding anymore >.<

Will@Mweb, just thought Id give a update regarding my DC situation. Telkom apparently fixed my upstream noise margin, not sure what they did, but they dont want to give me alot of details. Currently it is sitting on 12, which is not bad. Everyone else on my exchange seems to be getting the same for the US noise margin, so i guess I cannot complain. One other thing that I have decided to do is replace my current Telkom Mega 105w router, with something that is a bit more powerfull. I got a barely used Billion 7404 VGO from a friend, reflashed it (it was locked to a certain ISP) configured it, and it is currently working as a router should. Will raid tonight, so forumites, hold all thumbs please!!! :D On a slightly side note as to why Im replacing the router, it seems to be dropping packets. It doesnt drop the entire connection, it just drops enough packets to hinder my Wow gameplay.

Also, can the other 384k uncapped shaped WoW players that have no disconnect problems please share what routers they are using?

One last thing Will@Mweb, I have a question regarding the 384k shaped uncapped VS the unshaped service. A friend of mine seems convinced that he will get better latencies and that if I still get disconnects, that it will solve my problem. Now correct me if Im wrong, but as far as I know there isnt any difference between gaming traffic priority between the two services, is there?
