Same here and it seems to effect EVERYTHING. I'm playing RIFT and at exactly 11pm it is screwed up beyond reason. I've had no official response from Mweb regarding this :'(

(And as it's a time-related problem it REALLY shouldn't be hard to find the cause)

at 11pm shaping gets tad more lifted, they probably sort it out.

at least cpt dont have the problem :P

Good morning Guys

Please note that we are looking into the latency spikes, however we do require some more information from you. Time of day the latency seems to spike? How regular? Are there any specific trends, i.e. are you in a specific realm or playing a specific game? Also please provide us a screenshot of the in game latency and a tracer to bbc.co.uk

If you could please DM me the relevant information, it would really assist us in finding a resolution.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

Well I experience the lag spikes but cant seem to find an issue when doing traceroutes... the worst traceroute I have seen had 2 timeouts on the london network...(not same link). Should be quite evident that the impact is not caused on network packets.

Any ideas on what causes this problem yet?

Hi Carnifex

Our network team is working towards a solution; we will notify you as soon as we have feedback.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

This is due to shaping. 23:00 is the time which the give more bandwidth to p2p and less to http, as less users are browsing. Same as you probably dc at 18:30 every night -as me and many of my friend do.
Mweb is screwing up the shaping BECAUSE they are giving away more bandwidth than they have.
I would love to know where everyone who is experiencing a problem is and i will bet my balls that it's not a rich area.
Mweb needs to sort this out or their will be MANY people quitting and moving over to another ISP.
