Hi SSung, for what. It is not like i did not pay for it or stole it. As per TV ad said "as many data as you like". This is exactly what i'm going to do with out breaching the rules. Any way would like to hear MWEB official response.

Good question for example i'm using Sony Vaio. I've a option to backup it up on to Sony servers in the States. Would that be o'k 250Gb data just that. Once a month.
how long would that take to upload?

About 44 days if you did it all at once for the 250gb. 98 for my scenario.
This on a 4mb line with the hope of getting consistent upload speeds.

Hi Mr restaurant manager! would it be ok if i came into your buffet restaurant and ate all the food before anyone else could get near it? i won't bring friends to help me eat, it will all be according the rules, but i am a glutton and i WILL eat everything and leave some gravy for your other clients? Would that be ok in your precious restaurant? I mean, you did say all i can eat right?
For every buffet offering, there will be a glutton. And I'm afraid that unless the restaurant wants to go out of business, they have to put the gluttons out.
Im sorry, but anyone who needs 800GB a month and assumes that's kewl on a cheap home account needs some serious therapy.. or a snot klap.

The restaurant analogy really doesn't work... your example needs to be updated to include:
1) Customer has paid for all the food that he/she is intending on eating
2) Manager tells customer that he/she can only have carrots and only when nobody else wants carrots

I've been reading here and there about this whole thing and am pretty much certain MWEB have to notify customers when they make changes to their Terms and conditions?
From reading replies i Gather that Mweb has recently made changes to their "T&C's" in light of their recent venture to get rid of people who are hammering their systems and using VPNs etc to do so. Now if i read the Terms & Conditions 3 or 4 months ago, and something has changed since then? Surely one can't be held accountable for breaching T&C's when you didn't ***ken know about them in the first place?
At the end of the Day the response to MRudling was ****ing atrocious, and if they responded to me in that manner im not too sure how i would react, but doubt it would be good. For the moment its like pissing into the wind with them, hopefully wind direction changes at some point.

The account purchased is shaped, stated clearly, in uneqivocable terms. Attempting to get around the shaping rules is a no brainer as cause to suspension or removal.
while I am higly critical of the way mweb responded to mrudling (sp?), i am not too sure the T&Cs have changed at all.

Don't think they have, although they can. Someone posted that the bit about unattended usage was actually removed because people complained about it.

Yes.. what's the point of the comparison? Obviously having a shaped capped service and a shaped uncapped service are two very different things. Why we even needed shaping when all we had was low capped accounts I don't know.
