You are definitely not a gamer.I would like to see you download 200GB's of games and effectively play them...
yeah you can download 500GB per month...but can you play them all?

Good Day, these are valid points; especially the gaming content you refer to.
This is something that is also being discussed extensively in house.
Ultimately ISP cost is being impacted on by IPC costs. The lower the IPC cost, the lower the end user pays or the higher the thresholds.
This would mean more bang for your buck.
We are taking up this fight and hopefully we manage to get what we'd like.
Side Note : 50GB for the average console game? I dont think so...
edit : upon second thought this actually forms a major part of the discussion. There is a big difference between downloading 4 games in a month, totaling 200GB and downloading 13 games in a month, at an average game size of 15.41GB.
Who completes 5 games in a month? How about 13?
I clearly stated the new generation of consoles, meaning the PS4 and Xbox One, has an average game size of 50gigs.
PS4 AAA titles that I could find, excluding indie games.
If you include indie games, then the size does reduce significantly. I do not own an xbox one, but as the game exist on both systems, the same size is assumed.
Even though I am in the same boat as the rest of you, it's still uncapped... you have no limit on how much you can use, just how fast you can use it.
It pisses me off too. And to think I just migrated away from Telkom to these Mweb.
I am sure Mweb is still better than Telkom.

A friend and I had this discussion today and I honestly don't know if it's true or not. He said that console gaming is not prioritized on Mwebs network, it's PC gaming that's prioritized as Mweb do have server to cater to them. I have a vague understanding of how P2P works and that is how console gamers connect to each other. Can anybody confirm or deny this? I wouldn't put it passed Mweb to say GAMING IS PRIORITIZED when they truly mean that it's only for PC gaming. But hey, I could be wrong. Discuss.
MWEB used to be the best ISP for those who want to buy and download games from STEAM without worrying about getting capped. Now it's all about $$$ these days for this new ****ty CEO whose name sounds so gay.
Only thing that is prioritized is the fast lane to Derek's pockets...

Its the fast lane to a f**kup. Face it, MWEB is for the compliant introverted type person who cant calculate the value of their Telkom line cost in relation to their ISP costs, and isnt going to complain, and merely accept this, and in some cases, Stockholm Syndrome kicks in and these people justify MWEBs bad manners........
Why would anyone want a 4 Meg line ''For users who need a slightly faster connection and wanting to email, browse the Internet or do social networking without the need to do heavy downloads or uploads'' lest we throttle your ass!!
An old 56K dialup would do this ..... FFS.
+ 100 throttle kings Mweb- first prize
