I'm currently on the mweb 4mb uncapped account. But my DownLoad rates are atrocious at the moment and I cant game online at all, wow latency is 800 in raid it shoots to 5000 and i DC. cant play starcraft its just too lagy. Even on local cod4 servers my latency is never below 200... So Mweb tells me that they've done everything on their side that they can do for me I have to phone Telkom and tell them to check my DSLAM. So I phone telkom and they tell me there's nothing reported in my area... After much debate on the fact she asks me to run a speedtest test.

She tells me that's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. [caps]how on earth does that mean it's fine?[/caps] We debated this for quite a while and then she tells me to go to telkom.co.za under DSL 4MB fastest connection where it says "minimum 640kbps, maximum 4096kbps". So anything inbetween that is fine and they dont care. Interestingly the minimum for 512 faster connection is "416kbps" So from a 512kbs to 4096kbs the difference is speed as far as they feel fit to boost is a difference of 224kbs ?!
I've not had a problem like this before in the past without it being resolved. Now all of a sudden it's "if its not completely dead. We don't care."
Does anyone know if there's something else I can do? Is telkom really saying that a person living within 40km of the CPT CBD has to live with less than 50% performance and still pay the same price? Eventhough this has never been a problem before?
