is it just me or is are alot of ppls torrents going slowly? my lines fine when i dl from steam it goes at 420 kb/s but torrent atm is going at 20 kb/s .. i understand it goes slow in the day but its seems to also be slow during the night.

should go fast after 1am, just remember they do have problems atm, and try torrent on afrihost account to make sure its not the torrent.

had torrents barley doing 70kbs even on webafrica had to use news server to get it.

Don't be surprised mate. If you read some of the other threads around here you'll see that a LOT of Mweb users have been experiencing slow connectivity problems for several days now.

Yip, in the last three weeks my torrent speeds has been up and down like a yoyo. Its sitiing at 30-45kbps atm and I have a 4meg line. I gave up complaining to MWEB, all they do is a port recreate and tell me my account is fine. :(

I was thinking of jumping ship to M-Web on the "new" 1mb account. But after reading so many complaints without any real feedback or answers, I'm thinking twice about it.

Me too, looking for the next decent 1mb uncapped option, anyone have any ideas?

Yeah they have started shaping on rapidshare, mediafire, filesonic ect

These were always meant to be shaped? Still, all 3 of those can max my line out pretty much any time after hours, even on 1 thread. They need to balance the shaping a bit more equitably between torrents, hosters and the news server.

tbh ive been downloading great from torrents in the past 3 months ive had mweb no problems i think i was at 200 gigs by the 12th of may :D since the 12th - 25th my torrents where slowing down.. now it seems like their back up on full speed. to be honest even with all mwebs problems its worth it... or atleast much better than the 4gb telkom 384k line i had before going to mweb

Yip mweb speeds has been bad lately, and it is always the same story if you try and find out what the problem is. I'm using mweb at home and work and when we get to the office in the morning there is no connection then its rebooting the modem and so on, we have even replaced the modem, but still the same..
