MWEB Uncapped ADSL and shaping

Ok i am joining the uncapped awesomeness next month.... my initial feelings are to join Mweb.

Overall do you think this is a good idea....i'm not a download freak and i don't mind getting say around 15 gigs a month done on 384kbps. am i expecting too much from Mweb?

Depends, lately the services has been a bit problematic due to international cable (Seacom) outages, people complaining about mad shaping... my surfing on 384 is fast during the day, but last night I gave up trying to read my mail via Gmail (again, this could have been because of outages again, and not the general service). Can actually play a bit of games during the day (which I didn't expect), although FPS will surely not be possible.

Looks OK now - I was so busying the last two days drinking and stuffing my face that I never looked at what my downloads we doing... But they did download a few movies I added on Friday so I can't complain.

hi. i know i am a bit late for the original post; however, i recently started using Mweb uncapped with a 4MBps line. I must say that i dont quite agree with the fact that there has been no increase in shaping. during the day, when using torrents, i get a maximum speed of about 6KB/s which increases to about 20KB/s after 8pm. I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this as well?
