I have logged it to Telkom for you yesterday as your line Attenuation is sitting on 61db and only syncing on up to 3MB.

Our team who liaises with Telkom, will remain in contact with you until the fault is cleared.
 
Streaming speed is disgusting :mad: Gotta love MWEB for this :mad:

Out of curiousity, why do the angry people get sorted out in public but when people send private messages to be respectful, they get never get responses? Am I approaching this incorrectly, should I get mad and put it on the public forum?

On that, MWEB Guy, I'm still waiting for some sort of reply since 30th, would you please let me know what the situation is?

I just learn't that EASSY is down and that it may the cause of slow connections as everyone is now running on less bandwidth.. Could this maybe be the issue? I hope so! :D
 
Found out about a week or so ago that my exchange supports up to 4/10Mbps when I called MWEB to find out. I was so very damn excited, I wen't online to upgrade from my 2Mbps immediatly! However, I couldn't, I had to log a call, which I did. The guy I spoke with said it should take about 10 working days for the technical guys to do what they do.
Today, I got an email from a MWEB Sales Administrator stating:

Please be advise the regrade to 4096 cannot be processed as your distance from your exchange only allow you up to a 2048.

Please contact Telkom for further assistance.


Is this really possible? As far as I know, my exchange is about 2 blocks away from where I am.

So now I need to call Telkom, apparently, for they are capable of enhancing your line in order for us to proceed with a upgrade.

And I suppose this will only take the rest of my life. Great. I know this isn't MWEB's fault, but I thought I'd share it here, since my ISP is MWEB and I have been very happy with my 2Mbps Premium Uncapped. Was so looking forward to getting a 4Mbps one.

Switching to Afrihost and it is fine.

Can't wait till the end of this month once my cancellation takes affect....
 
Any speed at this exact moment and these times of the day, be it browsing, tubing or even a download and it is frek slow :(

I'm sorry you feel this way and for the delay in reply but I have since replied to your latest query via PM.

I did reply to your PM on the 30th, also our cancellations department have advised that they did contact you with regards to the query.

AFAIK, we do not run on EASSY so it shouldn't affect our network.

I checked the account for you and all seems in order.
I also cannot see any issue at the moment in your area.

I checked the line and the readings look ok but your attenuation is a bit high, currently on 51db.
Are you available to do some test?
 
Since cancellation takes a month I still have to stick with you, can you please tell me why rapidgator.net won't load for me in my browser? It's been 2 days and I tried a different DNS.

Works on all my MWEB connections - Business and otherwise.
Browser issue ? cache ?
