Unotelly/Netfilx has become close to unusable, where it used to run flawlessly. I very much doubt they are back to 90% capacity, or they have routing issues.

This system is a stuff up. Sent a request for a cancellation form and I get a reply saying they sorry I'm leaving and they are proceeding with the cancellation request.

I asked for a form and not to start the cancellation process. If my account gets cancelled without an actual request I will be pissed.

Mweb Guy wtf is wrong with your accounts dept?

This is their official response to a refund for outage

My apologies for the late reply, we have some unusually high mail volumes at present.

I understand your ADSL concerns espcially relating to Seacom problems that you having.

MWEB unfortunately does not compensate for down time especially where this fault has been caused by down time of third party providers.

6. DISCLAIMER

6.1 We may use or rely on upstream providers to provide the ADSL Service or certain portions thereof. We accordingly provide the ADSL Service subject to the limitations and terms imposed on us by such upstream providers, which includes the actual availability of the upstream provider's network.

The Seacom cable, which provides a significant portion of our international capacity, has been damaged off the coast of Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea. Early indications are that it may take up to two weeks to repair the break and restore full capacity.

As a result, most international services will be degraded.

Seacom has been able to secure additional international capacity for MWEB on an alternative route. We are now running at almost 90% of our total requirement. We hope to have the remaining capacity in place within the next few days. Thank you once again for your patience during this outage.

Still pushing them for answers

Can't even do a simple google search atm. But thankfully i'm sending my cancellation letter through today. Tried the axxess 3gb trial and for the first time in ages, i've been able to stream a youtube video (360p) without buffering. Goodbye Mweb.

Cancellation form submitted. Now for the next step, getting a cancellation confirmation...... :(

it an automated reply from mweb, just keep that reference number they send to u.

Cause i received my reference number within 10minute, stupid 30day cancellation policy... sigh

If I cancel today, will it be done by the end of March?

Not as far as i know of, they have this stupid 30 day cancellation policy.... ; /

Anyone know how good Axxess is? Do you get the full speed that you pay for and how good / consistent is their network as well as their telephonic support?

Torrents failing one after another as well. Http downloads at least seam to be working at around 70-80% normal speed.

I am on Axxess Pro-rata since SEACOM incident. Speeds are full, there was like 3 separate moments in last 2 days where browsing did stall for few seconds...... limited experience but acceptable so far...
