Ahahahahaha these replies... They are so dishonest and rude. He is seriously thinking we are stupid enough to believe that 90% of capacity means slow browsing.

Really 90% and we can't load youtube? I've asked for the cancellation forms from mweb 3 days ago NOT A PEEP FROM THEM SO FAR. On openweb silver uncapped and wow it is better than before seacom crapped itself and died and it is 2Mbps account. :confused:

also I wouldn'e want to put a cancellation form on my website if i where them.

argh, still having issues at home. The whole day at work on the mweb account I have been just fine. Get home to my personal account and websites are slow as anything, atleast they eventually load but so slow. Cant connect to game servers and all I want to do is sit after a long days work and play some games:(
 
Someone told me that MWEB uses SEACOM for local peering too. Is this correct? Is that why MyBB takes forever on MWEB?
 
If MWEB is operating at 90% and has reduced P2P traffic, why can't I even buffer a 360p YouTube video? :(
 
Hi Mwg, I'm now trying to DL a MMO which was flying up until today.
I'm getting it at about 20kbps on my 4mb line. Please can you either investigate the cause or let me know if there is huge shaping until a certain time now?

Edit: Make that 4kbps now...
Edit 2: Swapped to my AH free account and I'm getting full speed, so it's def not on my side.

To be fair YouTube wasn't working before SEACOM went out:) my Battlefield download is moving at between 160 and 190kB/s so I ain't complaining one bit!!!

This is proof. Youtube worked yesterday evening and the weekend. MWEb don't want to upset business customers so they decide to throttle residential customers only. All customers should be throttled evenly! I am cancelling tomorrow. MWeb engineers need to be shot. I am tired of these lies.

Youtube at least starting working after 19:00. It's now after 21:00 and download speeds are good.

I'll wait and see if tomorrow will be a hell day.
 
Actually, all these problems remind me of the problems I had with Afrihost before I moved to MWEB. They told me their uncapped wasn't suited to me, so they moved me to IS. Then that wasn't suitable. Funny thing was, I wasn't even a serious downloader. I only used it (heavily) for a few days of the month, but my totals weren't high. Their performance was much like MWEB is now (with the failure) with unpredictable results, but that was normal for Afrihost.

Then they (Afrihost) double deducted from my account and got all nasty and sarcastic when I challenged it. I never got my money back, they made sure of that, but I will NEVER have anything to do with that bunch of goons again. Gian don't get upset- even you ignored the emails I sent directly to you complaining about your (non) support staff.

What I am saying people is that the grass is not greener on the other side, especially with Afrihost..............

And while Mweb has its problems, I have signed up for a free 3GB from Axxess. Thanks guys that's good marketing Axxess.

Dude they can't do that, it is illegal and most banks will reverse such deductions. Go to the bank and have them sort it out, they will sort you out in like 24h.
