is anybody else also getting 16k+- on news.mweb.co.za tonight on mweb ? noticed how slow it was this morning and this evening its even worse

just jumped online to see if was just me. my news speeds are maxed at 16kb tonight as well. been perfect last few weeks.
 
Mweb guy dude im download a 160KB/s speeds at the moment, I doubt I reached my throttling limit again. Something wrong with the network?

You do not have a throttled account. If you have now subscribed to 1, please provide me with the account details.

Where are you getting the download speed from?
 
The best part of all of this is you telling me my line is normal after I told you countless of times it's not as it was a month ago, now after reading this thread it's perfectly clear that MWEB has changed something in it's policy to try and get 4MB Uncapped account holders to sign up for 10MB Uncapped as you are hard limiting them to 4MB and you never used to do it. I also suffer from the 160KB/s issue and right now I am downloading at 5KB/s. Account will be cancelled in the morning, just a pity you lost a customer that has stuck with you for 16 months. In case you didn't know that is R8000 minimum over the last 16 months that you won't see for the next 16 months because of your pathetic new HIDDEN policies.
 
I just assumed every user gets throttled after a certain amount of cap used... Even my speedtest result are like a 10th of what it should be

How the fahrk can they do that if my exchange does not support 10MB?

p2p, torrents, 1 click hosting and such services have the lowest priority on our Network as mentioned numerous times in this thread.

We do not support torrents due to the nature of the content.

MwebGuy please tell me how a company can have a cutting edge product that shakes up the market, only to degrade it so much a few years later that you have a forum thread as long as this. ..?

As an example, even an Plugg account exceeds their performance and reliability.

Thanks to StoneCold, I got myself a 5GB Plugg account and it downloaded flawlessly update after update.

Im confuesd why it failed on the same spot with mweb...very strange.

Now if I can just convince the other half that it is nigh time to abandon ship and go elsewhere as well.

Only been with MWEB since 56k dialup, thats what, 10 or more years now.
