I can confirm that we are doing a campaign at the moment.

I'm not 100% sure as to why they contacted you, as you mentioned, you already are on the 4Mb All Inclusive with us.
 
Hey, I'm on the 1mb all inclusive but my line is 384K :( Should I contact Telkom to upgrade it to 1mb? :?

I am on a 4MB uncapped line and recently I have been getting high international latency while gaming during night times, from about 6pm onwards. What can I do to find out if there is anything wrong with my line or is it simply a congested exchange in my area?

I would like to look into this from our side. Are only experiencing this when gaming? How is your general browsing?

does file hosting sites like rapidshare, netload, rapidgator, etc really get throttled/shaped badly?

... in general and after hours?
 
mweb is there any warranty on the router you guys give with the 3month contract thing , vkom router.

thing is giving me allot of hassles have to restart it everyday , randomly gives weird stats and sync at less speeds.

like atm my stats is:

downstream Upstream
SNR Margin
:
9.8 7.5 db
Line Attenuation
:
61.0 85.1 db
Data Rate
:
6144 523 kbps

its impossible to sync at 6mb with 61 line attenuation , and my upload is syncing at 530 and not 630

Hi Off-The-Chart

File hosting sites such as these do get shaped 24 hours a day. The shaping however is less in the evenings dependant on the needs of our network.

Yes, the router you have does have a 1 year warranty on it.

on telkom 384 line speed of usenet is horrible with 1meg offers by mweb. i dont understand that after 6pm the speed is not reaching at telkom is offering.is this telkom throttle or other issue? i know that mweb is not throttling after hours. even the int traffic is slow :mad:

Hi XTM

P2P, torrents and one click hosting sites are shaped on our network 24 hours a day.
You should see an increase in download speeds after hours, these speeds are not guaranteed.

what about international traffic why is so slow? is hardly loading any site........:confused:

I am not aware of any trouble with our international connectivity trouble.
I can investigate this for you, provide me with you MWEB details and provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.

not affected here on any accounts so also don't think its a international connectivity problem



Get same using Telkom/Mweb so dont see problems
