Are you just experiencing slow browsing overall? When you say mix of delay and slow downloading, what is happening?

Same here, all browsing is veeery slow, local and international. Trying to send you a PM, and the connection is struggling

Just had a thought, uncached news server content comes down at a comfortable speed for 384 lines. This made sense previously because that was the entry level account. so... MWEB Guy.... are there any plans to upgrade your news servers to accommodate the new entry level speed? I'd hate to have to start using torrents for everything. Especially because of their new habit of randomly dying every day.

Same here. Just went from 384 to 1meg and browsing jumps from beyond slow to normal. Direct downloads and torrents are going at less than 20kB/s :confused:

It's at literally at a standstill at times.


[EDIT] After 12am and I'm getting decent speeds. If I'm getting throttled 'til 12am, that's bull.

[EDIT] Scratch that. Speed jumps around between 40kB/s and 100kB/s

Uhm... nntp just dropped to 2-5KBps, torrents are barely alive.

EDIT: getting timeouts from news.mweb.co.za, only one connection out of three gets through

My nntp died too.
 
Also very slow in East London. Email and browsing as well as HTTP downloads crawling. Have resorted to changing to my Telkom account which is running at full speed...
 
Mine is still struggling. Can't load websites, can't send messages via iMessage etc! Online gaming feels delay-ish but not laggy! Please help

I had a look into your account and saw that our specialist provided feedback regarding your line. They explained to you that you are far from the exchange and suggested you downgrade. You said, you rather going to migrate the line back to Telkom.

Yes , we are going to email [email protected] today! But what info do we need to supply? I'm not talking about my line, it's the mweb account for this issue which started yesterday? I used a webafrica account and our delay and slow browsing issues disappeared!

My line was recently upgraded to 1mbps. And I think its time for uncapped. I just want to know is online gaming play given priority? And does our gaming priority drop the more we download?

Are the 2 accounts exactly the same?

Please provide me with comparison tracert and ping test with the 2 accounts.

When emailing moving, you'll just need to provide your MWEB account details and say you want to migrate back.
