Tappi doesn't work for me either, and being on the dodgy part explains the quality of the mweb offering

Thanks. I wish Mweb guy would offer an answer as I am at a point where I am going to cancel, soon!

I still cannot connect to

http://www.tappi.org/

Pleaseeeeeee

Hi

I just tested it now on my side and I also cannot access that site.
I test on 2 separate test PC's and in different browsers.
I tried to ping the site and do a trace route, the ping timed out but the trace looked good till about the 20th hop when it started to time out.

I think it may an issue with the site itself.
Are you able to access it with another ISP account?

Thanks, what DNS server address's are you using?

Mweb's DNS

My modem reports:
Code:
Upstream Speed: 512 kbps
Downstream Speed: 2048 kbps

I noticed the slow speeds when I was downloading course material from Coursera.org (hosted on Amazon S3). I have no idea what is causing this, because it doesn't look like congestion when I look at my low latencies with the traceroute, but then why would both my Afrihost & MWEB accounts have such poor download speeds!? Like half of what it should be.

Yesterday I was still downloading fine at ~1.6Mbps, which is what I'd expect from a 2Mbps account (which isn't one of the new MWEB throttled accounts).

Hi Pada

Please let me know if you are still geting the same results on speedtest? Also, can you run it without any active traffic in the background.

Hi Mweb Guy!

We are experiencing tons of packet loss and slow speeds, yet our ping is fine! Please could you help us out? Maybe a line reset/report?

Thanks

Hi oliverwww

I re-created the port as the attenuation on the line is over 60dB. Monitor and keep me posted regarding your connection.

Alright thanks! By the looks of it our sync speed is lower than usual.. Don't get me started on that! Telkom have told us so many different stories which aren't even believable. We might even consider 5mbps fibre at such a high cost because at least it will work!

I can confirm your line is only syncing at 2592 kbps.
