Hi MWEB. Why is my speed so bad recently?
Same line, same time - the difference in speed between my FNB & MWEB is just stupid:

2565340877.png - MWEB DL Speed 0.21Mb/s

I fully understand its a shaped account, but I literally can't even stream a 360p YouTube video at the moment...

Port 119 is currently blocked?

NNTP dead on both my static IP account and home uncapped account.
My brother in Durban also can't connect to anything on port 119 with his unshaped account?
Mweb news server is not responding to pings, and astraweb paid service, also no throughput.

Good Morning Hummercellc, I am not aware of any block on port 119.

Please reboot your router for 5mim and let me know if connecting with a new IP helps you.
 
This weekend I downloaded torrents on my 4Mbps uncapped account at speeds touching 500kbp/s. Older torrents that had fewer seeds slowed down to between 10kbp/s to 120kbp/s. My online gaming also seemed more stable with fewer disconnects.

Static IP on Business Account, reboot made no difference, switched to afrihost and NNTP started working?

MWEB, cancellation forms have been sent. i had enough please make sure my account is terminated on time and no issues regarding this.

When can i expect my account to be cancelled? I sent through the forms today.

If you submit the cancellation forms today, the calender month notice period will start on the 1st of next month.

Is there an Mweb cancellation policy that you could link me to? Because that is not the legal definition of a calendar month, so it's not binding if there isn't more stipulated in the agreement. I submitted my cancellation form today and I'd prefer not to throw money down the drain.

My speeds today are really terrible. Both local and int. I ahve already done a router reboot, does not help. I'd apreciate it if you could look into it. I'll inbox you my account deats now.

Ok it took me like ten minutes to send a PM to you my details. That is how slow this connection is. Its worse than dial up. NO KIDDING.
