Ok, I did send it but as I mentioned my connection was crawling so obviously it did not go through. So would have been nice if you told me that you did not receive it. I shall send it again.
NNTP is dead!
NNTP is dead!
Yip dead again this side as well.....
Worked for about 1 hour and 40 minutes on my side.
The whole day I got nothing 0kb/s then at 15:50 it just went right up to 400kb/s and at 16:30 back to ZERO and is staying there.
Really irritating, my Skype spinning in circles here as well???
No NNTP or Skype on my end.
Everything else is working, gmail, facebook, Gtalk, mybb all working....
Sigh - is there something wrong with international? Surely I should not be getting this on a 4 meg line?

MWeb Guy - what do you need me to PM to you?
Thanks. I read every line pertaining to ADSL and general agreement and only found the term 'calendar notice' used by itself with regards to cancellation notice, without a substituted definition or additional demands.
A quick Google search for the legal definition of a calendar month will leave no doubt as to what it is. It is the corresponding day in the following month less one day.
This means that Mweb has acted unlawfully in every instance that a person was forced to pay for a full month following the month that cancellation notice was given, unless the notice was received at the end of the previous month.
Hi AfricanTech
I have your account details already. I will have a look into this from our side and provide you with feedback.
Thanks mate - you can stop investigating - rebooted router and everything seems back to normal.
Oh, did a firmware update as well
Thanks for the quick response though.

Being waiting from yesterday for the application form to upgrade to a 4meg line and still noting
From the general terms and conditions :
In particular, month to month agreements (other than fixed term agreements contemplated in clause 2.2.1 and clause 2.2.2) may be terminated by either MWEB or you on one calendar month's notice, save to the extent provided otherwise in the Product Terms, which termination will take effect on the first day of the month immediately following the end of the applicable notice period.
So following the definition of a calendar month you gave, MWEB is sadly still safe.
Honestly if a pro-rata 1st payment can be done and the reason fro cancellation is for poor service. There should be no reason why MWEB can't do a much shorter notice period.
The legal team wins in this case however.
