Hi BlaZing

From the results of the traceroute, it points to a congested exchange you are connecting to. The 2nd hop is big and that normally points to a congested exchange issue.

I suggest contacting Telkom so that they can look into this from their side.

Lino - I can't give you my contacts :p

Just kidding. I don't know who you can speak to regarding that exchange. I think you will need to go through the correct channels to log a congestion check.

Yay MWEB Guy is human with a sense of humor :p

Will start the process with Telkom tomorrow (shudders)

Btw Netflix aka streaming is working perfectly tonight

The internet has been giving me issues for the past few days. So much more sluggish than usual on all fronts.

Some results!

I know some of this is probably considered "average" for a 1MB line, but the speedtests etc. have been consistently much better in the past? I've also noticed my average torrent download speed has dropped a bit, but that may just be due to shaping.

Over the past few days the internet has been super slow. Took my 5 minutes to open mybroadband.

Speedtest 1 - Download: 0.10Mbps
Speedtest 2 - Download: 0.14Mbps

What's wrong with the service now?

I am on a 2Mb Uncapped bundle.

I know some of this is probably considered "average" for a 1MB line, but the speedtests etc. have been consistently much better in the past? I've also noticed my average torrent download speed has dropped a bit, but that may just be due to shaping.

Hi Dames

Just for a comparison can you setup your router with Telkoms guest details and do a speed test on www.saix.net

Username: guest@telkomadsl
Password: guest

Over the past few days the internet has been super slow. Took my 5 minutes to open mybroadband.

Speedtest 1 - Download: 0.10Mbps
Speedtest 2 - Download: 0.14Mbps

What's wrong with the service now?

I am on a 2Mb Uncapped bundle.

Hi jarrodr,

Send me your MWEB details so that I can have a look into this.

Sigh, im having the most GOD aweful time trying to upgrade my account on mweb to a 2mb

Hi Deep78

That does not sound good at all.

Send me your MWEB details and I will follow up this to you.
