MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

I didn't realise any problems today with my connection. But then again, I'm not raping my Uncapped account 24/7.

Wow, do you always use words like that that casually like it is nothing?

You do realize it is a horrific thing that can happen to someone and not some petty thing you should be making a kitchen word of.

Evening, redundancy has kicked in; however I have reported that clients are still having a poor general experience.

Our engineers are working on the issue at the moment, hopefully we can resolve it shortly.

Time will tell... If it really has kicked in ;)

Hi hereticangel

Yes you can sign up up for this on a month to month basis.

Do we ever own the router after a year or 2?
If we change ISP after a year or so then we would need to give back the router I am assuming?

Hi naasier

The router and extender is the property of MWEB. It will be collected if you move to another ISP.

What was up with general browsing in the 016 area last night? Speed tests were flying, but browsing was DEAD. Couldnt get through to call centre.

Hi guys. Just upgraded to the 4Mb premium uncapped package. But Im having issues getting a stable constant speed on all downloads. My Telkom account works fine though at the full 4Mb speed (the recent issues excluded for Telkom and it's extremely slow speeds the past week or so)

My Steam downloads as well as http keeps jumping from around 250KB's to 300KB's. Router is syncing fine as well.
Stats

Any issues at the moment MWEB Guy ?

In PMB Area, Cleland if that helps any.

Afternoon, we have no reported issues on the network at the moment.

Speeds between 250 and 350 don't seem that bad.

Please monitor this through the course of today and let me know how it goes.

Funny enough it's VERY stable now. Getting a constant strong 4Mbit speed :p
Oh well. Happy now hehe =] Hope it stays this way though.

Thanks again for the awesome service!

Trying to figure out this FON thing .... Its OK to share bandwidth, but excessive useage attributed to a user will result in throttling??
Now I am keen as hell on FON, make no mistake .... but the problem I have is MWEB prohibition ... throttling.

Is there ANY way that MWEB can get another CEO and become a good ISP again so that I can get a FON router??

Morning TEXTILE GUY

I do understand your concern.

Sign up and you will get the FON router and extender :D

As for "shared bandwidth", that won't affect you. Your usage is totally independent from the FON hotspot usage. So, if a FON subscriber uses the connection, what they use won't add to you usage at all.

what is the catch with the FON router Just received a call that you are giving customerS free routers what is that about MWEB guy

Morning bakkies

We are contacting our existing customer with regards to the FON routers. It is a router we giving our customer in order to access the FON service we providing. This is a service on your ADSL package. You can disable the FOn service and continue with the ADSL if it doesn't work for you.

The router we are giving to our customers for free. We reserve the right to reclaim the device at our discretion should you cancel the account or opt out of the FON network.
